PKA/ Introduction To assess the previous knowledge the teacher may ask the students
about the criterion being used by the world bank.

Concept Building Activity 1. – Students can be asked about the various public facilities

weight and height of three adult persons of different economic
backgrounds.

Activity 3. – Teacher will collect the above data given by the students
and explain them about BMI and its calculation. Teacher will also
help students in finding out whether an adult is under-nourished,
average or over weight.

Activity 4– Teacher will explain about the criterion being used by


UNDP to classify the countries.

Activity 3. – Teacher will explain the importance of sustainable


development and make student realise the importance to conserve
resources.

Assessment Strategy Ask students to reflect.


Students can be asked to reflect on the various topics of the lesson
and ask the students to consider how they would apply the concepts
in a practical setting.
