This chapter presents the methodology used in the study. To be discussed here

are the research design, research locale, respondents of the study, research instruments

used and the data gathering procedures.

3.1 Research Design

This study was conducted using qualitative research design because it involves

an interpretive naturalistic approach. Other than that, this research aimed to identify

the disadvantages and the advantages of watching Teleseryes. The said research design

was the chosen design because it was the most suitable design, considering that the

researchers were going to observe a student’s habits and preferences.

study.

It is used to determine whether Teleseryes do have effects on students regarding

their lifestyle, studies, and behavior. After the professor validated the questionnaire it

was distributed to 24 chosen respondents .The selection of respondents was through by

choosing 3 students from each colleges here in La Salle University who are most

inclined to watching Teleseryes.

Lastly after they answered the questions the researchers computed, tallied, and

analyzed the answers to finalize the result.

3.5 Research Instruments

The researchers utilized survey questionnaires as their primary instrument in

gathering the data from the respondents pertaining to the study. The researchers also

used some related books as their references and their secondary instrument.
