Evidence: My presentation outline

A. Find a topic of personal interest. Imagine you are going to present that topic
orally to your teacher and classmates at school. For this part of the evidence
you need to carry out exhaustive research in order to be able to present all the
necessary information related to your selected topic. Report the most important
aspects of your research through a brainstorm of the ideas and concepts that
you think will be relevant to the presentation.

Brainstorm

Example of topic: Aviation.

 Aviation refers to the use of commercial and non-commercial aircrafts

for transportation of people or goods.

 The A380, manufactured by the Airbus Industry, is the biggest plane

ever made.

Electric cars

 Electric cars are a variety of electric vehicle (EV). The term "electric

B. Now, structure your presentation using the Signpost language learnt during this
learning activity. Present your outline through presentation cards. Use as many
cards as you need.

Remember: Each presentation card should include a

heading, a phrase at the bottom, a number and it should be
organized by numbering and bulleting.

Structure: I’m going to divide this talk into five parts.

1. Early beginnings.
2. Civil aviation.
3. Commercial aviation.
4. Modern aircrafts manufacturers:
a. Airbus.
b. Boeing.
c. Embraer.
5. The most famous aircrafts in history:
a. Concorde.
b. Boeing 747.
c. Airbus A380.

Let’s turn now to the first part: the early beginnings

of aviation…

C. To complete the evidence, you must now write a complete list of references
using the guidelines given by the American Psychological Association (APA). Do
not forget to organize your references alphabetically.
SOLVED:

ELECTRIC CARS

My subject today is Electric cars

I am going to divide this talk into four parts.

1. Definition.
2. Inventors And First Prototype
3. Electric Motors And Batteries.
4. Companies That Manufacture Electric Cars.

Let's now turn to the first part:

Let's begin
1. DEFINITION

My subject today is electric cars: the electric cars, the electric cars
Electric cars are a variety of electric vehicle (EV). The term "electric
vehicle" refers to any vehicle that uses electric motors for propulsion,
while "electric car" generally refers to highway-
capable automobiles powered by electricity. Low-speed electric
vehicles.
An electric car that derives its power from an on-board battery pack is
a form of battery electric vehicle (BEV). Most often, the term "electric
car" is used to refer to battery electric vehicles.
Let’s turn now to

2. Inventors and first prototype

The invention of the first model electric predecessor vehicle is attributed to

various people.

In 1828, the Hungarian Ányos Jedlik invented an early type of electric
motor, and created a small model car powered by his new motor.

Between 1832 and 1839, the Scot Robert Anderson built a crude electric-
powered carriage, powered by non-rechargeable primary power cells.

In 1834, Vermont blacksmith Thomas Davenport built a similar
contraption, which operated on a short, circular, electrified track.

In 1835, Professor Sibrandus Stratingh of Groningen (The Netherlands)
and his assistant Christopher Becker from Germany also created a small-
scale electric car, powered by non-rechargeable primary cells.

Other prototypes of electric cars were probably built before, but it was not
until French inventors Gaston Planté (in 1865) and Camille Faure (in
1881) that electric cars really took off did improve the batteries.

In November 1881, Gustave Trouvé presented an electric car at
the Exposition International Electricity of Paris.

Now we'll move on to

3. ELECTRIC MOTORS AND BATTERIES.

 Lithium-based batteries are often used for their high power and energy
density, although they eventually wear out. Other battery types, such
as nickel metal hydride (NiMH), which have a poorer power-to-weight
ratio than lithium ion, but are cheaper. Batteries with different chemical
compositions are in development such as zinc-air battery that could be
much lighter.
 Electric motors are a set of coils that generate an electromagnetic field
that turns a rotor in order to move the normal components of the vehicle
such as the transmission, among others. Depending on the
manufacturer, next to the batteries, it can have two to four motors;
mostly it depends on the power and the location of them on their axes,
which is mostly located in the central part of them, mostly controlled by a
computer.
Lastly

4. COMPANIES THAT MANUFACTURE ELECTRIC CARS.

These companies are currently making commercial electric vehicles for

sale

TESLA, BMW, MERCEDES BENZ, NISSAN, RENAULT, BAIC EU,

JAGUAR, FORD, TOYOTA, AUDI

Most of the large manufacturers make their electric vehicles within the
sports range and in the SUV family range that are called SUEV o Suburban
Utilities Electric Vehicle.

Unfortunately, I seem to have run out of time, then. I will conclude very
briefly with the sentence I take at the beginning
