The purpose of the project we proposed is to help the people in Abanico Bgy.

San Pedro who’s in contamination of the water where they live and since their

house is in coastal area, they are also prone to coastal calamities and casualties. It

will help them to have a secure residence while having pay-to-own house for a

small amount, and would be also great for them so they won’t be an informal

settlers their entire lives.

It’s contribution will be given both to the people of Abanico and at the same

time to the government who’s responsible for helping and making the lives of

their people at ease. By providing this project, they would worry less in the

outrage trash due to improper housing in Abanico Bgy. San Pedro that causes

water pollution that also endangers the health of the citizens who lives their when

great calamities comes.

The said project is a cement based structure which meets the minimum

standards of safety, sanitation and comfort. It is also based under BP 220 Section

4 – Basic and objectives of the minimum design standard having the basic needs

of humansettlement namely; Water, Movement and circulation, Storm drainage,

Solid and liquid waste disposal, Playground & power. It’s also affordable since

we computed the required amount or the structure and up to how much the

average or common people can give to afford to stay in a place like this one.
We also gathered some datas from City hall so that we can assure some site

criteria for the project and we came up with Bgy. Sicsican since there is a lot

that;s a government property and residential zone.

It ensures the safety of the tenants and it is energy efficient since it would

use solar panels which will lessen the consume of the electricity from the main

source of the city electricity power namely ‘Paleco’.

In DILG Section 2 Sub Section B4 - assessment of Occupant and Capacity,

in every tenement house each person e have an occupancy factor of 3 sq. m.

which we gladly present in the said project suitable for the stated members of

each small and big family.

The significance of this project is to give solution to the resettlement of the

site beneficiaries. We had three options at first attempts of having the relocation

site, there is Irawan, Tagburos and Sicsican yet we end up having the sicsican

since Irawan site is however a agricultural zone yet is prone to flashfloods, while

Tagburos is near the highway, has easy access to transportation yet can be greatly

affected of the Provincial Project: Road Widening. We ended up having the

sicsican since its a residential area, yet the transportation is inaccessible but can

be easily solve thru making mini roads. It’s flood-free, residential zone and near

in agricultural zone.
The SWOT analysis we had the said lot where the project will be built is

compacted, and is a safer zone for a living compared to their previous home.

Governmental Assistance is a great opportunity while threats are more difficult

since paying the tenement monthly could be an issue for those who’ll be given a

chance to live to the said project.

Environmental Impact of this plan is Solar Panel. A solar panel converts

sunlight into an electric current or heat used to provide electricity for home or

building. Solar panels are constructed as a collection of lots of small solar

cells that are spread over a large area to provide enough power.  The larger the

concentration of light hits the cell the more electricity or heat is produced.

Solar energy systems offer significant environmental benefits in comparison

to the conventional energy sources, thus they greatly contribute to the sustainable

development of human activities. The sun is a huge source of energy which has

only recently been tapped into. It provides immense resources which can generate

clean, non-polluting and sustainable electricity, thus resulting in no global

warming emissions. In recent years, it was discovered that the power of the sun

can be collected and stored, to be used on a global scale with the purpose of

eventually replacing the conventional sources of energy. As the world is turning

its focus to cleaner power, solar energy has seen a significant rise in importance.
Our proposed project is an affordable type of housing, because instead of

constructing their own house, they can loan from the Government’s housing for

as low as 3,125 pesos only. It’s a rent to own house based from the previous

projects that the government already unleashed. The topmost part of the structure

has water panels and great drainage for water recycle so there’s really no waste in

having this house/tenement housing since its efficient and costs less than having

and constructing house for the people who lives in San Pedro.
