Project Summary
Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

Many street youths, are involved in trafficking drugs, violence as a result of unemployment, and illiteracy.Training them is indirectly stopping all
these ills.Producing and selling sweatshirts is securing funds for the training and integration of street youths in our society

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

what if youths were given a second opportunity, a possibility to work, won't it reduce drug dealing, murder and crimes linked to that?

About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

With very little technical know-how,knowledge,street youths find difficulties integrating an evolving and technological economy. No opportunities
are favorable for them as most employers tend to exploit them, considering them as cheap and unskilled labor. All of these, persuades these
juvenile delinquents to turn to trafficking as fast money making. However these involvement in traficking doesn't mean they hate work, but rather
caused by circumstances.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

To ensure training of street youths, the production of sweatshirts is key to raise funds.A supportive youth group(3 street youths) is needed as
they will be taught"designing, sewing, for the effective production of sweatshirts" and also"leadership,self-empowerment and personal growth
skills to be able to train other street youths and to govern their behavior while working with other street youths.Once profit generated from the
production of sweatshirts,10 street youths will be recruited and trained with the help and assistance of mentors in the different domain
like:electricity, plumbing, increasing their technical know-how.But also, they will be trained on personal growth skills,in-order to help them
recognize themselves as change-makers.

Awards

3 schools have accepted the idea and have proposed me to supply them with sweatshirts for more than 500 children.

Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

Got to 15 youths in the streets with gifts,as a means of showing concern and care. After 2 visits,I'd the opportunity to talk to a Stephan, who shared
his sad past, how he got in the streets and the day to day challenges he faced. So the first step is having 3 street youths to produce the
sweatshirts, and who will be trained while producing the sweatshirts. With the help of mentors specialized in certain domain,we will recruit, train and
ease the integration of 10 street youths with plumbing, electricity and handicraft skills respectively but also with advice from a psychologist we will
know how to entertain and keep them once recruited.Voluntary services will be a form by which they'll carry out practicals and help the initiative be
2
renowned

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

Success is the accomplishment of an aim or process. It will be expressed here by seeing the harmony existing between street youths(newly
recruited),their mentors, trainers(the first 3 trained street youths).Their interaction with us and eagerness to learn will indicate the success of the
training. My vision is to train and value rejected street youths in-order to reduce violence and trafficking indirectly but also,to ease their integration
in the society,as such improving standards of living, increasing the labor force and a subsequent increase in GDP.My goals are, minimum reach and
training of 100 street youths,a production of 500 sweatshirts making a profit of $13 on the production of each sweatshirt and easing, innovating the
training of more street youths.I believe that, the training on personal skills will keep them from going back to the streets and being juvenile
delinquent.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

Opening a youth center that constantly offers new skills and connects youth with new employment opportunities.Being inter-connected with foreign
NGO's to know how to help and provide them with youths for volunteerism in relation to what they learned.

Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

I will run and sell sweatshirts which would provide funds for the training. And i'll count on funds given by the government to those who invest in and
support youths. In the future I will think of charging for the skill education.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these
approaches?

The target audience is street youths and their involvement in drug trafficking and social ills. There are other projects having similar ideas but mine
is based more on youths at risk, youth unemployment, and how "street youth" employment and development could reduce the level of social
ills,violence and drug trafficking.

Founding Story

Got to 15 youths in the streets with gifts,as a means of showing concern and care. After 2 visits,I'd the opportunity to talk to a Stephan, who shared
his sad past, how he got in the streets and the day to day challenges he faced. The future of our world depends on responsible citizens who
possess the ability to express and resolve conflicts while working together for civic improvement.Despite the wrongs purported by street
youths, they definitely have some good in them.Any hope of addressing these causes successfully requires some belief in street youths and in
their outcome inspite all they've gone through.

Team
