Transaction Structure
The following table outlines the transaction structure section of the HL7 message:

Information

OBR Observation Request Report type information is retrieved from this segment and is a required
segment

OBX Observation Result Report detail information is retrieved from this segment

identification information. This segment contains permanent patient identifying and demographic
information that is not likely to change frequently:
