Subject: English V

First period - 39 hours

I. Competence of communication and expression


 Students express at least one personal opinion during a group discussion.
 Students read fluently while understanding.
 Students are able to utter simple and short sentences including basic vocabulary and grammar.
 Students are able to give the right answer to specific situations.
 Students use basic grammatical structures showing preferences.
 Students are able to work in pairs, enhancing thus collaboration, communication and error correction.
 Students get familiar with projects either by working in pairs or individually and to be resourcefully enough to
successfully achieve the desired objective.
II. Thinking Competence
 Students enhance their imagination, memory and thinking skills through a variety of activities, pictures, videos, readers.
 Students observe carefully, think and make a decision eventually.
III. Learning Competency
 Students comprehend through games, role plays.
 Students are willing to learn more by asking and answering questions so as to be a source of motivation for the rest of
the class.
 Students present their individual work through posters, drawings made by them.
 Students gather all necessary materials to complete a task, such as a project.
 Students observe and correct their and the other students mistakes in writing or speaking.
IV. Competencies for life, entrepreneurship and the environment
 Students indentify the necessary sources of information (materials, tools etc) and use them in an effective way to make
a poster, project, task at school and home.
 Students stimulate the sense of observation and discovery and make logical connections using all five senses to reveal
meaning of stories, pictures, games, videos.
V. Personal competence
 Students collaborate with each other despite their origin, skills or special needs in order to achieve a common goal
within the classroom or outside it.
VI. Civic competence
 Students discuss with each other and decide on the responsibilities each one has in a group work project.
 Students express their opinion freely and respect the others’ opinion too.
 Students learn, respect and accept other cultures and cultural values.
VII. digital competence
 Students listen to songs and watch videos which they discuss later.
 Students use computers and the internet as a source of information to provide original work and to enhance learning.

 hears and responds to simple sentences, articulated in a slow and clear language;
 Identifies different objects when they are heard, mentioned or shown;
 Identifies simple instruction in and outside the classroom;
 Reacts through physical activities to the guidance, guidance and actions of teachers or people around them;
 hears and responds to caving and orders;
 Identifies different objects when asked to answer about the tire.
2. Competence: Speaking
Learning Outcomes for the Competence of Speaking
 Ask simple questions about what you see or hear expressing your desires, feelings, and preferences;
 interacts in short dialogs, simple messages, simple expressions and simple and plain texts;
 ask and ask for items that are needed to perform a task;
 Ask and answer simple questions about yourself, family, school, and place of residence;
 Follow the instructions when they are provided with a very clear language;
 ask the interlocutor for health, age, hometown.

 fills vacant places with words referring to well-known figures or paintings;
 Name a tag for a known item;
 Describes friends, friends, relatives, characters, objects, stuff, and loved ones for him with words and short sentences
and detached;
 Writes short texts like: a greeting, a postcard.
5. Competence: Fair use of language

 pronounces simple words or phrases with the support of the teacher;
 introduces itself using simple sentences;
 name, age and residence;
 speaks simply to the well-known people and family.
