Introduction
This manual is described of the work sequence at the time of supplying and making a test run
of vFactory.

1. Check MauiFactory
Log on to MauiFactory and check whether MauiFactory is working correctly.
Log on to MauiFactory from Internet Explorer.

Start Internet Explorer in vFactory computer. Select MauiFactory from Favorites menu.
After you open the web page, the following interface will display.
Input Admin as the Username, Maui as the Password and log on.
Please check whether the screen of MauiFactory is displayed.

2. How to connect to AMNC-F

In this chapter, we will explain the connection method of AMNC-F to vFactory.
The connection with AMNC-F is set up by AMNC Daemon of a task tray.
Notice
The IP address of vFactory is inputted during installation. First, please examine the IP
address of vFactory.
After opening the interface of AMNC-F, press Ctrl and Esc at the same time to display start
menu. Press Ctrl, then click the icon of AMNC Daemon.

Click the Virtual Factory Viewer tab.
Enable : If you want to connect to vFactory, turn on the check mark in the checkbox.
IP Address : Input the IP address of vFactory computer.
Machine Name : Input the machine name which you want to register to vFactory.
FMS : When the FMS controller is connected, turn on the check mark in the
checkbox.
IP Address : Input the IP address of FMS controller.
After that, click Apply and OK to reflect the modified content.
All the steps for connecting with vFactory are completed.

Please restart the AMNC-F.

Log on to MauiFactory after the AMNC-F starts. Check the machine object which you set up
exists in MauiFactory or not.
Refer to 1. Check MauiFactory for the method of logon to MauiFactory.
Check whether a status changes according

to the status of a processing machine.

3. UNIT-8 Setting
In this chapter, we will talk about how to use UNIT-8, that is, the method of connecting ordinary
machine to vFactory.
Example: The old NCT (COMA, PEGA, VIPROS) and L/UL Device.
We can set up Unit-8 with the PC connected by LAN. UNIT8 has the server function of WWW,
and we can set the parameter by Internet Explorer.
Notice
Recommend to use the later version of Ver5.5SP1 of Internet Explorer.
3.1. Registration to Trusted sites

If OS of your PC is Windows2003 server or Windows2008 server, register the IP address of
AMC-UNIT8 into a trusted site. This work is unnecessary when the OS is WindowsXP.
(1) Start Internet Explorer and select the Internet options of Tools menu.
(2) Select the Security tab.
(3) Select the Trusted sites.
(4) Click the Sites button.

3.2. How to access AMC-UNIT8

Start Internet Explorer on your PC. Input http://192.9.200.155 in URL.
* Set the default IP address of AMC-UNIT8 as 192.9.200.155.
The screen which enters a user name and a password will appear. Input admin in Account
and password in Password, then logon.

3.3. Change IP Address of UNIT-8

When connecting two or more UNIT-8, or customer network environment differs from the IP
address class of an ASIS network, please change the IP address of UNIT-8.
Select the NETWORK page. Please modify the web item according to the customer
environment. After the modification, click the Apply button.
3.4. Set up vFactory IP Address

Please change when the IP address of vFactory is different from the standard address.
(192.9.200.150)
Select the SOAP page. Input vFactory IP address in Server URL.

Default address is http://192.9.200.150:8989
When you want to change IP address, modify part of the IP address. It does not change after
":". For example, “10.11.12.13” -> http://10.11.12.13:8989.
After the modification, click the Apply button.

3.5. Time Server Setting

Set up synchronize the time of vFactory, and the time of UNIT-8, so that the time stamp of
machine working information to become the same.
Please set when the IP address of vFactory is not the standard one. (192.9.200.150)
Select the SYSTEM panel. Then click the Setup button on Time Setup.
Please input vFactory IP address in the Time Server area.

After the modification, click the Change button.

3.6. Channel Setting

Input a name to signal of the Channel, which connects to UNIT-8.
Select the CHANNEL page, and input the information.

When UNIT-8 connects to ASR48M, the following table displays three working statuses: Ch1 is
power ON, Ch2 is working and Ch3 is alarm active.

[Explanation]
Channel Name
Input Channel’s name. vFactory regards the following five words as key words.
POW : Power ON
RUN : Working
SET : Setting
ALM : Alarm active
CNT : Count. Calculate the shot quantity of the bender.
* The signal name of each machine is described on the drawing of each connection kit.
Parent Name
Input the name of Parent object. The default name is f01.
Unit Name
Input the connected machine name.

Reverse
If you want to reverse and output the inputted signal logic, turn on a check mark in the
checkbox.
On-Delay, OFF-Delay
Input when we need ON-Delay and Off-Delay. Signal’s ON and OFF will delay according to the
inputting second.
3.7. VIDEO Parameter Setting

When using the monitoring camera, it need adjust the video parameter.
Select the VIDEO panel.

Input the machine name in Parent area. (Machine name is the name registered into
MafuiFactory.)
Input the camera name in Name area.
Confirm whether Video Pattern is Streaming.

3.8. Restart the UNIT-8

Restart the UNIT-8 in order to enable change of a setup.
Select the MAINTAIN panel, then click the Shutdown button.
Log on to MauiFactory after the Unit-8 starts. Check the machine object which you set up
exists in MauiFactory or not.
Check whether a status changes according

to the status of a machine.

In this chapter, we will explain the connection method of AMNC bender ver4 to vFactory.
Notice
* It needs a keyboard for installation. Please start the AMNC bender after connecting a
keyboard.
* If EWF machine, please install after cancel protection.
* Installation should use the installer corresponding to the version of AMNC.
Installer exists in CD according to a version as below:

It is necessary to change a parameter or later the AMNC bender Ver4.08.03.
Please change parameter No.92 into 1.

In the case of the EWF machine, please change into write-protected mode.

up exists in MauiFactory or not.

5.1. Preparation
It needs a keyboard for installation. Please start the AMNC bender after connecting a
keyboard.
5.2. Change System adjustment

(1) Push the MAINT button.

(3) The screen of a password will appear. Input “14789632”, then push the enter button.

(4) Change the parameter No.32 into 1 from 0. Then push the EXIT button.

5.3. Disable EWF function

(1) Push the UTILITY button.

(2) Push the EwfMgr operate button.
When push the EwfMgr operate button, the next screen will appear.

When you turn off the power, please be sure to make oil pressure into "OFF."
(5) If the AMNC bender is started again, the following dialog message will appear.
Push the No button will start AmncV5.

(6) After the AmncV5 starts, please check whether the mark of the key in the screen upper
right is blinking.
When the mark of a key is not blinking, please redo the work of 5.3 Disable EWF function.

5.4. Change ProcessAdmin.ini file.

(2) Push the UTILITY button.
(3) Pus the iniFile Editor button.
Open “C:¥Program Files¥Amada¥Amnc¥VirtualFactory¥ProcessAdmin.ini” file.
Input the IP address of vFactory computer into Server of an Env section.

Input the machine name that you want to register to vFactory into Name of an Object section.
After the modification, push the save button to save ini file.

5.5. Enable vFactory communication function

(3) Change the system parameter No74 into 1. Then push the EXIT button.
5.6. Enable EWF function

(1) Push the UTILITY button of a MAINT screen.

5.7. Change System adjustment

(1) After the AmncV5 starts, please check whether the mark of the key in the screen upper
right is on. When the mark of a key is not on, please redo the work of 5.6 Enable EWF
function. When the key mark is on, push the MAINT button.
(2) Push the PARM button.

(3) Change the parameter No.32 into 0 from 1. Then push the EXIT button.

(5) Check whether a password input screen appears.

Please restart the AMNC bender.
5.8. Check machine object

Log on to MauiFactory after the AMNC bender starts. Check the machine object which you set
up exists in MauiFactory or not.
Check whether a status changes

according to the status of a machine.

6. Make and install a factory layout

You can make the layout of a customer factory with layout tool software.
Please save the layout which you created by the name f01.ovf at the following folder.

7. Setup vFactory
7.1. Start vFactory Setup program
Click [Start] -> [All programs] -> [vFactory] -> [vFactorySetup].
Please input Maui into the column of a password. vFactorySetup program will appear.

7.2. Edit the customer company name

Click "Virtual" on the left-hand side of a screen, setting screen will appear on right-hand side.
Please input a customer's company name into the column of Server Name.
Other columns are the items set up when using the notification function of E-mail.
Please click the Register button after edit. Click the Yes button.

Server Name Input the customer company name.
Email SMTP Server Input the customer’s SMTP server name.
Port No. If the provider is doing Outbound Port 25 Blocking control,
please input the port number.
Email SMTP Account Name Input the customer’s SMTP account name.

Email Return Address Input the customer’s mail address.
Email Charset Please select what is suitable.

(1) Click f01.
(2) Edit Description. Please input the customer’s factory name.

of SDD.
If customer is sharing the processing program with other processing
machines, please input the other machine name after a semicolon.

3D Model ID Please input the identification name (model ID) of the machine of a
factory layout file.

7.7. Create information file

(1) Set up the order of the machine displayed on vFactory. Please change by drag and drop.
(2) Select File -> CreateInformationFile .
(3) Click the Yes button.

Please be sure to do CreateInfromationFile after changing a setup of Machine object.

7.8. How to connect to SDD (PCL or AP100 Server)

(1) Create the user for accessing to a SDD server. Please create in the SDD-J server PC.
User name: MAUI
Password: MAUI
(2) Set up Windows Firewall in SDD server.

If the Windows firewall is working with PC of SDD Server, please set up exception of
1433/TCP and a 1434/UDP port.
Open Windows Firewall setting widow.

[Start] -> [Control Panel] -> [Windows Firewall]

(c) Setup Port number : 1433 (TCP).

Input “SQL (TCP)” into Name and input 1433 into Port number. Then click the OK

Select the UDP radio button. Then click the OK button.

(3) Select the PCL Settings panel of vFactorySetup program.

Please input parameters. Click the Apply button after editing.
Explanation
Use PCL Check on, when connecting with SDD-J.
Host Name Input the PC name of SDD-J (PCL or AP100) which you want
to connect.
Account Name Input the user name of accessing SDD-J.
Password Input the password of accessing SDD. (PCL, AP100)

8. Setup Notification
8.1. Create event
An event is created by vFactorySetup.

8.4. Setting of notification conditions by the e-mail recipient

(1) Click the System settings button.
(2) When User is clicked, the password input window appears. Input the registered password,
and then click the OK button.

(3) Click the event tab of notification items and select the item you want to enable e-mail
notification for.
(4) Click the schedule tab and set the time period during which you want to receive e-mail
notification.
After the following items have been set, click the Register button to complete the settings.
To cancel notification, access the window as the user and clear the Event notice check
box, and then click Register.

9. Setup camera
Notice
In order to use monitoring camera, it requires firmware version of UNIT-8 1.30 or later.
Please upgrade the firmware of UNIT-8, if the version is old.
(1) Log on to UNIT-8

Start Internet Explorer on your PC. Input http://192.9.200.155 in URL.
The screen which enters a user name and a password will appear. Input admin in Account
and password in Password, then logon.
(2) Create camera object.

Select the VIDEO panel.
Input the machine name in Parent area. (Machine name is the name registered into
MafuiFactory.)
Input the camera name in Name area. Confirm whether Video Pattern is Streaming.

Please install an ActiveX control, when you set up.

(3) Restart the UNIT-8 in order to enable change of the setup.

Select the MAINTAIN panel, then click the Shutdown button.
(4) Check a camera object.

Start the vFactorySetup program after the Unit-8 starts, check the camera object which you set
up exists or not.

(5) Create information file.

(a) Select File -> CreateInformationFile .
(b) Click Yes.
(6) Click the connected machine from a vFactory main screen. Then, check whether the Live
View menu can be selected in the displayed window.

10. Setup vFactory Client

(1) Start Internet Explorer. Then input “htp://mauiserver/vfs” (http://the computer name/vfs) into
an address bar.
(2) After a while, the main screen of vFactory will appear. If you haven’t installed Orbit Viewer,
download it from vFactor server and install it.
Click screen according to an install message.
Click This website wants to install the following add-on: 'Virtual Factory 3D Viewer'
from 'Orbit Technology Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and
want to install it, click here...

(3) Select Install ActiveX Control…
(4) Click the Install button.
(5) You can see the Virtual factory view.

11. IE8 settings

When you operate vFactory using IE8, please setup following steps.
If you start the Internet explorer ver8 first after WindowsUpdate, the next screen will appear.
Click the Next button.
Select the Yes, turn on Suggested Sites radio button. Then click the Next button.

Select the Use express settings radio button. Then click the Finish button.
Start the Internet explorer. Select Compatibility View Settings from Tools menu.
Check on Display all websites in Compatibility View. Then click the Close button.

Confirm the clock control will appear in the vFactory main screen.
If clock control will not appear, please recheck Compatibility View Settings.

12. IE9 settings (Optional)

When you operate vFactory using IE9, please setup following steps.
Start the Internet explorer. While pressing the [Alt] key, you can select the menu bar.
Select [Compatibility View Settings] from [Tools] menu.
Turn on the [Display all websites in Compatibility View] check box. Then click the [Close]
button.

Confirm the clock control will appear in the vFactory main screen.
If clock control will not appear, please recheck [Compatibility View Settings].

13. Backup vFactory environment

Backup database by DBAdmin program.
[Start] -> [All Programs] -> [Maui Virtual Factory] -> [Stop Maui Virtual Factory]
The message [Press any key to continue...] is displayed, press ‘Enter’ key to close the
command prompt window.
[Start] -> [All Programs] -> [Maui Virtual Factory] -> [DB Admin]
Click localhost on the tree and click Backup Database.

The below dialog will appear.
Include New SDD database : Check on

Include files. When checked, this option will include all data files in the backup : Check OFF
Input Backup file name. Please input the name of a file as vfs.mauibk.
Select the Backup Now radio button.
Confirm Backup file name. Should be “vfs.mauibk”.

Click the Backup Now button. -> Backup processing will start.

Click the OK button. Close the DBAdmin window.

Please input Maui into the column of the password. vFactorySetup program will appear.

Select Backup Configuration from File menu.
Select Backup file name and location.

Check on Save vFactory layout file.
Then click the Execute button. -> Backup processing will start.

14. Restore vFactory environment

Restore database by DBAdmin program.
[Start] -> [All Programs] -> [Maui Virtual Factory] -> [Stop Maui Factory]
The message [Press any key to continue...] is displayed, press ‘Enter’ key.
[Start] -> [All Programs] -> [Maui Virtual Factory] -> [DB Admin]
Click localhost on the tree and click Restore Database.

Select Backup File dialog will appear.

Please select the file which you backed up. Click the Open button.
Confirm both check boxes (NewSDD and Maui) are on. Click the OK button.
Next, the below dialog will appear.

Select the Overwrite the existing database radio button.

Select the Overwrite the existing database radio button.
The restore processing will start.

The restore processing is finished, the below dialog will appear. Click the OK button.
Start vFactory Setup program.

Please input Maui into the column of the password. vFactorySetup program will appear.

Select Restore Configuration from File menu.
Select Backup file name.

Check on Restore vFactory layout file.
Then click the Execute button. -> Restore processing will start.

Please click the Apply button of each vFactorysetup tab and reflect the contents of
restoration.
Note: A restoration result will not be reflected if you forget to click the Apply button with
each tab!
Select CreateInformationFile from File menu.
