    Tour Report

    Project – Sharavati Bridge (P.C- 2296)


    Period Date 03.03.2020 to 08.03.2020

    Subject:- Client interaction at Bangalore and Environmental Monitoring of the Project .

    Details of the Observations:

    I have travel from Sundargarh to Bangalore on dated 03.03.2020 to attend Client interaction with Chief
    Engineer NH on dated 04.02.2020 along with P.H, AE team.
    Travel to Project site from Bangalore
    Date 05.03.2020 attend site office, review the Contrac Agreement and conduct Joint site inspevction of the
    Site along with TL and conduct meeting with Contractor at Base
    Camp-1 of EPC ,DBL.
    Date 06.03.2020 Joint site inspection along with Client and Contractor followed by meeting with Contractor
    at Base Camp-1.
    The main purpose of the site visit was to inspect the implementation status of Environmental Management
    Plan and mitigation meaasures during construction of extra dosed Major Bridge acrossSharavati
    Backwater.
    The following points are noted:
    • Contractor has to obtain all Applicable parmits as per Schedule -F of CA ( Contract agreement ) and
    submit to AE for review and record.The Contractor has yet to submit the applicable permits from
    the statutory bodies.
    • The establishment of Base Camp and Casting yeard and piling work is in progress.
    • The reservoir water shall not be polluted during excavation.Special care shall be taken during
    pilling work .
    • Care shall be taken to protect the reservoir basin from any accidents/incidents during the course of
    excavation work.
    • The excavated materials shall not be be disposed off in the reservoir basin .
    • Blasting of hard rock and quaring of sand in the reservoir basin shall be avoided.
    • The project is falling under Sharavathi Valley wildlife Sanctuary ,special care and mitigation
    measures to protect the wildlife shall be taken during construction of the Bridge .]
    • Tree cutting in the project affected areas is in progress.Contractor has to submit the tree falling
    permit from the Forest department for review of AE .
    • Awarness programme among worker shall be conducted to protect the envioronment of the
    reservoir and willdlife
