1. What Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient is and what it is used for
Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient is a bath or shower additive - its combination of oils
is designed to relieve itching, to lubricate and soften the skin and form a film on the skin
surface to reduce moisture loss. It can also be used instead of soap
Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient is used to treat any condition in which dry skin is a
feature such as eczema, ichthyosis (hereditary dry skin) and senile pruritus (itching that
may occur in old age).
If the above applies to you, or if you are not sure, speak to your doctor, nurse or
pharmacist before you use Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient.
Always use Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient exactly as your doctor has told you to.
You should check with your doctor, nurse or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient is for external use only and should only be applied
to the skin.
Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient should always be either added to water or applied
to wet skin.
For use in the shower - Pour a small quantity on to a wet sponge or flannel and rub on
to wet skin. Rinse and pat dry.
What to do if you use more Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient than you should
If you use too much Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient wash off the excess with warm
water.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor, nurse or
pharmacist.
No side effects of Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient have been reported.
If your condition worsens or if irritation, itch or rash occurs, stop treatment and consult
your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
If you have any side effects which you feel may have been caused by Hydromol Bath &
Shower Emollient, stop using the Emollient and contact your doctor, nurse or
pharmacist.
Do not use Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient after the expiry date which is stated on
the carton and bottle. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month after EXP.
Do not use Hydromol Bath & Shower Emollient if you notice a change in the colour or
feel of the emollient.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your
pharmacist on how to dispose of medicines no longer required. These measures will
help protect the environment.
