The Process of making Jessie's Homemade Torta

1. Preparation of torta molds. Use wax paper and grease it with butter then set aside until batter is ready.

2. Preparation of all ingredients which are:

A. Egg Yolks

B. Flour

C. Coconut Wine (Tuba)

D. Margarine

E. Sugar

F. Milk (Alpine Milk)

G. Lard (Mantika sa Baboy)

3. Mix all the ingredients. First, pour the coconut wine (tuba) with sugar in the mixing bowl. Next, add

the margarine, Alpine milk and flour then mix well until the dough softens. After proper mixing and

kneading, add the egg yolks until it is mixed well with the batter. Lastly, add the lard (mantika sa baboy)
(Magallones said that you may use vegetable oil as substitute for lard) then whisk until they look just

incorporated enough without overdoing it.

4. Lastly, pour the batter into the molders or in any way you can do it and set aside for 4 to 6 hours to

allow batter to rise, depending on the room temperature. (When temperature is high, it usually takes 4

hours. When room temperature is cold, it takes 6 hours at the most.)
