Preset Load Cell Tension Measuring Roll

The Tension is measured by two Load cells. Every Load Cell is connected to one amplifier. The
Preset is to be done via the HMI HW Preset Page.

To Preset Service Mode must be activated. Therefore the Key switch in Main Desk +CD
must be turned to “ON” Position.

Emergency Stop must not be active and all Drives must be switched Off

When Service Mode is active it is Shown on Main Screen in “Operation Mode” Field

To Preset the Load Cells two step have to be done.

Reset to “zero” Force;

Preset to a defined value.

Preset to a defined value; Reset to “zero” Force.

To Reset to zero the Tension Roller must be without any load (No Film).
To Reset hold the Softbutton “Reset” for 3s.
When Reset is done the actual Tension will show 0N

Second step is to Preset to a defined Tension.

This can either be done by hanging some standard weights into the machine or by using a
lashing strap and a external force measuring device. In any case load must be aplied in
the same way the Film Path will do during winding.

When using standard weights the minimum should be 100Kg.

To Preset, the load should be applied in the center of the Tension Roller.

Now Preset can be done. Therefore hold the Softbutton “Preset” for 3s.
When Preset is done the actual Tension will show the Preset force, e.g. 1000N (100Kg).

To see whether the ratio Drive Side to Non Drive Side Load Cell is even the feedback of
both Load cells can be checked on Main Screen
