In 20" century year 1935 SNCF Société nationale des chemins de fer frangais; ("National society of French railways" or "French National Railway Company") introduced AC electric traction with - 15 KV, 16 2/3 Hz, 1 phase. Further at Mia or 20" century on international level it is decided for standardization of AC frequency to have global market for Electrical Products, and it was decided as 50 Hz. Hence to switch existing AC Electric Traction of 15 KV, 16 2/3 Hz, 1 phase to New frequency of 50 Hz. Following Two points were considered-- 1) TO have same Power With new voltage and frequency so that same conductor can used. 2) Should offer same impendence so that same protection equipment can use.
