1.

High cost of building and maintaining roads (need public funding)

2. Low capacity for the land area used (causes congestion)
3. Poor safety (causes deaths and injuries)
4. Major source of pollution: air, noise, light, water (causes health problems)
5. Major source of carbon-emissions (causes global warming)
6. The place where I stay has no much problem with transportation. My place is
MYSORE and no much population . In Mysore we have very good number of
transport facilities.
7. When it comes to Jaipur or Delhi , the place which i visit every year , i feel pathetic
and disgusting .
8. I mean no one wants to follows traffic rules, everyone has their own egos and
attitude. When i am in Jaipur my travelling will be almost done in Buses… and what
to say about those :/ I wonder why Jaipur government has no proper rules to keep
track of buses for each location. Advising someone that you are exploiting the rules
,they see me as if i not a human being/ not a part of human creature .
9. Major : Buses facility , Train facility
10. Railways have put some efforts to make it easy for travelers , but every year the
population raises drastically and every year the travelers faces huge problems in Rail .
11. Bus facility: I must say they r not up to the mark , in Delhi people face so much of
problem . good numbers of buses should be incorporated in Delhi and other cities
where 70% of people use government transportation for their daily means
12. This is all i have to say about transportation.

Everyone is familiar with symptoms of the current transportation problems which plague
every metropolitan area..Cities are locations having a high level of accumulation and
concentration of economic activities and are complex spatial structures supported by
transport systems. The larger the city, the greater its complexity and the potential for
disruptions, particularly when this complexity is not effectively managed. The most
important transport challenges are often related to urban areas and take place when
transport systems, for a variety of reasons, cannot satisfy the numerous requirements of
urban mobility. Urban productivity is highly dependent on the efficiency of its transport
system to move labor, consumers and freight between multiple origins and destinations.
Additionally, transport terminals such as ports, airports, and rail yards are located within
urban areas, contributing to a specific array of problems. Some problems are ancient, like
congestion (which plagued cities such as Rome), while others are new like urban freight
distribution or environmental impacts. By the way I use wikiroutes to look for the routes
because wikiroutes are best for bus transit systems to avoid late arrival of buses or if you
don't like public transportation in your city you can come to wikiroutes and suggest your
idea how to improve it in the "Routes by people" project. You can visit it on
One problem is the difficulty of shipping food and other resources in emergency situations,
such as after earthquakes. Some of the most vulnerable countries don’t have ports large
enough for ships or airports close enough for aircraft. Navies solve this by sending aircraft
carriers. Even in non-emergency situations, the problems of transporting food to remote
destinations outweigh the challenges of producing enough food.

increasing day by day which leads to one of the important problems in the transportation
industry.

allowed.

Industry.
5. Change in Customer Demands: Customers demands and expectation changes day to
day like they demand fast and timely delivery which even at Cheaper rates.

6. Economy: Due to the rise in the price of fuel, inflationary demand increases which further
results in an increase in the transport economy and decreases the margin of profits for the
transportation Industry.

7. Quality and Safety Transportation

8. Improved Customer Services: Every customer demands full transparency from pick-up

to delivery location i.e they want to track facilities.

The road transport is one of the most important means of transport and is indispensable to
the development of commerce and industry. All the movement of goods begins and
ultimately ends by making use of roads. Roads act as an important feeder to the other
modes of transport such as railways, ships and airway.

Problems of Road Transport:

 Bad Roads:
 Slow Growth of Vehicles
 Lack of Co-ordination:
 Competition among Different Modes
