PROPOSED GUIDELINES ON THE UTILIZATION OF COMPUTER LABORATORY

A. LOGBOOK
a. The teacher should sign in the class EVERYTIME THEY USE THE COMPUTER
LABORRATORY (Year and section, day and time)
b. All school personnel should sign in the logbook before using the computer and specify
the computer number.
c. The teacher must keep a list of students and the computer station they are assigned in.
B. Computer usage
a. The teacher should check the condition of the units before and after using and note if
something is not normal.
b. A teacher should allot 10 mins of its time to prepare and close the computers.
c. Strictly no using of flash drive (USB) for students
d. Teachers who intend to use flash drive must be checked and assisted by the ICT Lab-
Manager.
e. NO foods and beverages shall be allowed inside the computer Laboratory.
f. In the event of power interruption, all units shall be shutdown properly immediately as
the UPS can only provide a short power during brownout.
g. No writing on computer tables (vandalism is punishable by the school)
h. Students are not allowed to connect or disconnect any computer parts.
i. Only the teacher is authorized to plug in the power source of the computers.
j. Any abnormal condition of the computers shall be reported immediately and must be
noted.
k. DO NOT touch the computer with wet hands.
l. Computers shall be shut down when not in used.
C. Laptops
a. The school laptop is allowed for classroom instruction purposes.
b. The school laptop is allowed to be brought in seminars as needed.
c. The school laptop should be used as a back up storage of all school files.
***note: Utilization of laptop shall be reflected on the log book and must follow
proper borrowing procedure.
D. Television
a. The TV shall at all-time be used for instructional purposes and demonstration purposes.
b. Strictly no inserting of flash drive (USB). (if needed asked the assistance of the ICT Lab-
Manager.
c. In case of abnormal operation, report immediately to the ICT Lab- Manager.
E. Air condition unit
a. The air condition unit shall only be operated by the teacher and the ICT lab managers.
b. The air condition unit shall be turned ON based on following conditions:
i. Hands on classes where Computers are utilized.
ii. Lecture classes when the room temperature is too warm.
c. ACU shall be shut down after classes.
F. Lights
a. Light switch shall only be operated by the teacher and the ICT-Lab Manager
b. Lights shall be turned on whenever needed.
c. Lights shall be turned off when not in use.
G. EMERGENCY Procedures
a. In case of fire, the teacher shall facilitate the safe evacuation procedure.
b. If smoke comes out in any of the computer, notify the teacher and the teacher shall
initiate the necessary precautionary measures and evacuate if necessary.
