Brief History
American Wire & Cable Co., Inc. is currently located at Km. 16 South
Superhighway, Parafiaque City. We are one of the country’s leading manufacturers
of electrical wires and cables. Our product is known with the brand name of
DURAFLEX.
WCC is the pioneer when it comes to the manufacturing of wire and cable. It
was formally organized in the year of 1954 and started its operation since
1956. Our plant was originally located at Pasong Tamo, Makati. After six
successful years of operation, there was a demand for an increase in volume of
‘our products henea, the company decided to move to a larger plant on its

Zinc Coating
Flame resistance requirements are defined by the various levels of flame:
hazard, plus the severity of the fires to which cables may be exposed. The
Important considerations are propagation of flame, support of further
‘combustion, generation and propagation of smoke.
Zine coatings provide the most effective way of protecting stool aginst
‘corrosion. The zinc coating shall be applied by either the hot dip or the
‘eectro-galvanizing process.
Sievematic Computerized Test System
Computer controlled test equipment for telecommunication cables is used to
Perform automatic measurements of conductor resistance, resistance
unbalance, capacitance and capacitance unbalance, crosstalk, and
attenuation of the cable. The Sievematic guarantees the performance
‘characteristics of the cable since all measured values are compared to
standard specification, Non-conformance to the requirements are clearly
marked and stated in the print-out of the test deta,
