I. PROCUREMENT OF PALAY
- From field to Cooperative
- Get the Moisture Content, total weight of palay, price/kg, total no. of bags and variety
- Classify it according to its quality
- Give the correct price after classifying

II. DRYING
A. - From coop to Mechanical dryer station
- Get the total no. of bags, total weight, initial MC%
B. DRIED PALAY
- Output dried (get the no. of bags dried, MC%, total weight dried)
C. Cost of Drying
- Should keep a record of total costs incurred
- Maintenance, diesel, labor and other costs
Should it be milled or stored first?
IF STORED:
a. TRANSFER OF DRIED PALAY TO STORAGE
a. Warehouseman should receive and keep a record of all the dried palay to be stored
b. Pile system: Pile the dried palay according to its variety, date of harvest, date dried and MC%
c. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Must have a record book and forms to filled up if
there will be stock-in and stock-out; updated no. of bags stored, updated total weight of stock and
the MC% per variety per pile
b. IF MILLED: Deliver the dried palay from warehouse to Rice Milling Station
III. MILLING
A. Get first the total no. of bags of dried palay to be milled, total weight, MC%, and variety
B. Record the total output: total weight of milled rice, no. of cavan, Milling Recovery %
C. For packaging: how much is the sack to be used
D. By-products: get the weight of each by-products produced- darak, binlid, ipa
o How much per kilo for each by-products?
o Should it be the payment for the milling costs?
IV. TRANSPORTATION COSTS
- How much is the delivery from coop to drying station?
o From drying station to milling station
o From milling station back to the warehouse
o From warehouse in Zaragoza to Max’s warehouse in Manila
V. DELIVERY
- How many will be the volume of milled rice to be delivered in Max’s?
- Is it weekly? Or how many times a month?
VI. LABOR COST
- How much is the cost per moves of palay? Per milled rice?
- How much will be the labor costs for the mechanical dryer? Solar dryer?
VII. PRICING
- What will be the total costs per kilogram of milled rice produced?
- How much will be the breakeven?
VIII. STORAGE OF MILLED RICE:
- Where will be the storage facility? How much will be the storage cost (per sack?)
