CNU – SSC Meeting (August 29, 2020)

Agenda:
1. The term of SSC and College Council Officers
- If i-extend ang tern sa mga incumbent council officers (both elected and
appointed)
- Respective Bloc GC make a poll if they are agree to extend the councils
term for another year.
- If no, state the reason why no?
- Deadline of results will be on August 31 (send the results to CNU U-
COMELEC.

2. The start of classes orientation and unified schedule

- September 1 is the orientation for all colleges.
- September 2-3 orientation per department ( schedule depends on your
department)
- All students are encouraged to join
- Orientation is all about kung unsaon ang Google Classroom (online) and
Modular Class mechanisms.
- For those students na dili ka attend, SSC will post Online Google
Classroom Guide on how to navigate the Google Classroom (via PDF)
and will be posted within next week.
- SSC will ask the registrar for the list of students enrolled for both Online
and Offline (modular).
- Next week will be purely an Orientation Week
- On the second week of September will be the start of logging in in the
Google classroom.

3. Start of SSC Activities

- It will start on 2nd week of September
- Everything is virtual
- There will be a series of Normalite Student Activities such as:
- SSC awareness (GTKY of Officers and their duties and responsibilities)
- Online Kamustahan (there will be a Google form to answer and you will
be clustered depending on your interests and answers.
- Trivia Night (General Knowledge and clustered by Degree Program or
blocs)
- Talent Night (Pre – recorded video and you’ll send it to SSC)
- It will all start on the 2nd week of September.
- Mechanisms and Mechanics will be posted on the SSC page.
4. Organization Kamustahan w/ SSC
- SSC will assist the organization.
- Organization must be a direct line of communication to students
- Organization mayor will send email to the SSC Secretary.
- How can SSC assist orgs in their concerns and problems.
- Need to know rhe schedule or availability of the Mayor for a new meeting
to discuss the following agenda :
- Plan of the organization for the whole AY.
- How could SSC assist in terms of Zoom and SSC plans to partner an
organization every month to conduct an activity.
- To hear out concerns and grievances.
5. Election of New Bloc Chair and Organizational Mayor
- It depends on the Constitution of the org if they will elect a new mayor and
depends on the bloc to elect a new set of bloc officers
- There must an elected officers regardless if newly elected or not on or
before the second week of September.

6. Creating of Google Classroom for SSC announcements and FB group

Chats for information dissemination
- Announcements will be posted via Google Classroom
- GC is for follow ups.
- SSC will ask contact information for Bloc Chair down to secretary for this
new platform as they will be added to the GC and Google Classroom.
- There will be a new unified GC for Organizational Mayors and Bloc Chairs.
(old gc will be deleted, you are requested to leave as the new GC will be
created).

7. Transparency of Registrar services

- Registrar is on a work from home basis
- Scholastic request (must be coursed through OSA)
- Study loads are under requisition
- Releasing of study loads is by batch (expect next week for the releasing
and be patient)
- Is the modular student naay study load? Tubag: Naa ra
- Enrollment ang giuna sa Registrar karon as Enrollment schedule is
extended til sep.2

8. SSC Services
- Hotline numbers will be posted soon for concerns and grievances. Sept. 1
is the posting of new no.
- Insurance Program for entire Academic Year
- Coverage of Insurance are:
Accidental, Health, and Fire Victims.
- How much?
- Depends on the situation, as to last year Fire victims is 20k and medical
reimbursements per day.
- Once you see the SSC post please share it to the GC or your timeline.
- Do not hesitate to chat the CNU SSC Page.

9. NLA Season 4 and 5

- It is a training program being a good leader.
- NLA season 4 was not continued to the pandemic
- But it will be continued online and graduation will be in virtual.
- NLA season 5 is still the same but differs on the mode it will be done
online.
- Everyone can apply
- There will be a series of trainings and webinar
- And it FREE.

10. Questions
- Is the modular and online is for the whole year or this first sem only?
It only focus this sem and hoping na ma normalize before the year ends
but if not same mode for the 2nd sem
 For 2nd semester if ever na mawala or I allow na ang face to face classes
there will be a schedule but not similar to the regular ones. Yet, it is not
FINAL.

- For modular classes asa ang pick up points sa modules?

There is a partnership with the LGU na adto I deliver inyong modules and adto
rasad kuhaon.
For modules:
1st copy is for the whole midterms
2nd copy is midterm to finals

List of pick up points will be posted next week.

- Can we transfer online to modular or vice versa?

Tubag: NO, System is very strict and it is bounded sa budget nga gi
allocate ni CHED so dili pwede.
For students who filed a Certificate of Candidacy pag March (special mention c
PubAd) ma continue ba?
Yes, it will not nullify and if election is pushed through you will still be a a candidate for
election.
