    Criteria: Grade 3/4 Personal Writing

    My writing has a topic sentence (beginning sentence)  

    I have two topics/ 3 or 4 paragraphs  

    I have details  

    I used capital letters at the beginning of sentences,  


    names, months, places…

    I used periods, question marks, exclamation points  

    I have an ending sentence/ conclusion  

    I have checked my spelling  

    I used connecting words: and, or, so, but, suddenly,  


    however, then, because, finally, after

    I have a variety of complete sentences (simple and  


    compound sentences)
