*) Note: IISD estimates of the role of NRE in the energy mix in 2025 by 15%
Even though the volume of exported CPO increased in Q1 due to the low CPO price, the number of exported CPO could not reduce the trade balance deficit in
Q1 2019
• The biggest BBM utilization is on transportation sector Development Strategy of CPO-based Biofuel Product
• The diesel oil utilization on transporation sector is lower that the gasoline The development of CPO-based biofuel utilization in Indonesia could be implemented through 4 products such as Biodiesel (use the
mixture of FAME), CPO-based biofuel utilization for power plants, Green Diesel and Green Gasoline development
• Biodiesel mandatory program in 2018 was quite successfull reaching for 3.5
million KL and predicted to reach 6.7 million KL in 2019, so imported diesel
oil succeeded to be reduced
• The development of CPO-based biofuel products needs to be increased to
cut down the imported BBM as well as to push down the CPO price
• The development of CPO-based utilization through 4 products: Biodiesel
(use the mixture of FAME), CPO-based biofuel utilization for power plants,
Green Diesel and Green Gasoline development
Description:
Co-processing green-diesel is based on the plan of Pertamina at FCC Plaju, RFCC Cilacap, RFCC Balongan, and RFCC
Balikpapan unit
• The NRE in the national energy mix was 8.5% (primary Gas, 21.12
energy) in the end of 2018 and NRE power plant capacity was BBM
9.9 GW or 12.7% of the total capacity in Q II 2019. (+BBN),
4.32
Semester I
• Since the issuance of MEMR Regulation 50/2017, there has 2019
not been any NRE addition capacity from new contract Coal,
61.85 NRE,
