What is DraftSight?

DraftSight is a powerful two-dimensional computer-aided design and drafting solution which is very useful in
architectural and design fields, as well as for mechanical design processes. Designed with a familiar user interface, the
2D CAD software is built to help users create 2D drawings and CAD projects easily and in an organized manner.

DraftSight is a highly interoperable design software which permits the opening and saving of DWG and DXF files.
Users can also save their drawings and designs in various file formats such as .jpeg, .pdf, .png, .svg, .tif, and .stl file
formats. Attaching drawings from external references is supported as well.

The 2D CAD software offers features that aimed at improving productivity which include the ability to use enhanced
and easy-to-read command prompts, measure items quickly, and print a batch of drawings. Last but not least, the
solution is equipped with editing and formatting tools.

Highly Interoperable

DraftSight is a highly interoperable 2D CAD design and drafting solution. It supports a wide variety of file formats. For
instance, users will be able to attach image files with different file formats to their drawings (e.g., .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg,
.png, .tif, and .tiff. They will also be able to save or export the drawings into various image file formats. The solution can
import DGN files that users can edit directly within the software.

system is comprised of numerical coordinates which help users organize items and determine the lengths of those
items accurately.

Entities

DraftSight is built with entities which allow users to add special displays and setups to drawings. Thus, as they create
their drawings, they will be able to include arcs and lines, hyperlinks, tables, points, masks, blocks, tolerances and
other entities.

Batch Printing

Batch printing is another feature present in DraftSight. This feature enables users to send a set of drawings to printers
and print all of the drawings as a batch. In addition, users will be able to view and track all of the batch-printed
drawings from the Batch Print List where batch print jobs are saved.
