1. Background :
Child abuse is basically not only physical brutality. It also includes
inattention, intellectual, physical harm as well as sexual abuse of child. In
whole world, it is a serious illegitimate transgression. Sometimes, child
abuse is happen by parents, caretakers, relatives, as well as from teachers.
Almost one million children are abused only in united state. Any
International hurt or maltreatment to a child under 18 years old is called
child abuse. It is done by mostly those persons who are much closed to child
in these parents and relatives are also included.

2. Types :

There are following types of child abusing.

i. Physical abuse
ii. Sexual abuse
iii. Emotional abuse
iv. substance abuse
v. neglect and abandonment

They are explained as following:

i. Physical Abuse:
Physical abuse is any deliberate act causing grievance or shock to another
person by fleshly communication.
ii. Sexual abuse:
It is customarily undesired sexual action by one person to another. It is
frequently execute using dynamism or by taking advantage of another. Child
sexual abuse is form of child abuse in which he is mistreated for sexual
indulgence of an adult or older pubescent.

iii. Emotional abuse:


It is an action counting internment, segregation, oral or uttered attack,
bullying or any other treatment which may reduce the sense of individuality,
self respect and self worth. It can happen to anyone in their lives. It has
demolished result on relationships .because having no physical mark does
not mean that it is not real abuse. It should be must included in crime.

iv. Substance abuse :


It is a pattern of destructive use of any substance for hallucinogenic or
psychedelic purposes. It includes drugs such as alcohol, cocaine, cannabis,
barbiturates, and opioids and so on.

v. Neglect And Abandonment:


Neglect in case of child abuse is meant by inattentive dealing or
mistreatment of a child including the failure to give sufficient food, clothing,
protection as well as medical treatment. And
child abandonment is the practice or exercise of surrender advantage and
claim over ones offspring in an illegal way with committed of never again
reasserting guardianship over them.
3. Symptoms:
i. Sadness, fretfulness or some uncommon fears or rapid loss of self
confidence.
ii. Self hurt or attempts at suicide
iii. Change in behaviors occurs such as hostility, irritation, hyperactivity, or
changes in study performance as well.
iv. Stubborn behavior

4. Prevention:
i. Encouraged your child. Listen him or her and keep a good friendly
relationship with child to develop trust in him or her.
ii. If you feel that your child is out of control, then in response don’t take out
anger on your child.
iii. Keep a close eye on your child at every moment.
iv. If your child feels uneasy with someone then give trust to your child and ask
the reason.
v. Make daily but recurrent visits at places where caregivers or babysitters give
protection and care to your child.
