Material and Equipment


-QR Code worksheets
-Google Slides
-QR Code Answer Sheet
-Plain white paper
-Grading sheet
-Coordinate Battleship Worksheets
-Dry erase markers
Introduction ( 10 min.):

Do a homework check on 1.3 Workbook questions. Record marks on grading sheet.

Review with the students how today’s activity will work.

QR Code scavenger hunt


1. The scavenger hunt consists of 6 questions- 5 of them being transformation questions.
2. Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera. At the top of your phone a link should pop up. CLICK IT
When you click the link you will get a question. Answer all questions on the given worksheet.
3. BEFORE moving on to the next question you must double check your answers with me. If your answers
are incorrect, I’ll say “try again” and you must fix it and show me again. Once I say you right, you can
scan the next code.
4. This activity can be done in partners or groups of 3.

***Remember it’s a scavenger hunt! Don’t share your answers with the people around you! Try to be the first
group to discover the missing image! ***

***Ask students if there are any questions***

Hand out the QR Code scavenger hunt worksheets. Tell students that each person in the group MUST do their

Body ( 35 min.):

During the rest of the class, students will be answering the questions found after scanning the
QR codes. Once students have found the missing image, they can use the coordinate battleship
worksheets to study for their quiz tomorrow. Students can work with a partner. Have each
create a transformation question and then switch questions with their partner, so each of
them is doing the other person’s question.

Differentiation

Have Brenda take Brandt, Trevina, Kennedy, and Isabelle to Mrs. Irvine’s room and work on the QR code
scavenger hunt together.

Have Brenda take Peyton and Lucas to Mrs. Irvine’s room and work on the QR code scavenger hunt
together.

Closure/Reflection

Closure: Have the students share with me their thoughts on the QR Code scavenger hunt, did they like it, not
like it, was it challenging?
