Arrange a successful Virtual Training Strategy

An increasing number of organizations, either public or private, are utilizing virtual training to

develop their employee’s skill sets and keep them up-to-date with the organization’s policies and

procedures. However, in many respects, creating a successful virtual training strategy is an art,

and various elements should be present in order to implement an informative and engaging

experience for the employees.

Following I have discussed some primary tools which can be necessary meterial for conducting a

visual learning programme more effective

Before the learning session: Scheduling & Preparing:

 Consider Time zone: At the time of arranging a learning session it should be remember

that the participants are from different time zones and it is necessatry to pick a time

which is convenient for all.

 Length of the learning session :  Time is necessary while conducting a online trainning

session that how would the session run. This learning session run for 3 hours or 180

minutes into the program.

 Online platform: For this learning session I would like to conduct with Webinar.

 Topic: This column represents the general content area covering during the trainning

session. So it is mendetory to select a specific topic before conduct a learning session.

 Populate the calendar event: It is necessary to make sure that calendar invitation

contains everything for participants which is necessary to attend such as meeting link,

access code and any type od pre meeting meterial.

 Request to join early: It allows to not consume so much time at the learning session start

the participants may download necessary software or other things before the

predetermined time.

 Send reminder: It is necessary to send reminder via e-mail or mst meeting tools have

notification tools before the meeting because people are most likely to forgor virtual

meetig than physically meeting.

DURING the learning session:At the time of delivering

 Get your participants talking

One of the main challenges as a presenter is not being able to easily gauge participant

confusion and attention levels. Pause often to ask for questions and if possible, ask

participants to expand on or provide examples of new topics as you introduce them.

 Utilize the chat window

This is another convenient alternative pausing for questions. If possible, dedicate a resource

member from host team of the learning session to monitor and respond to those questions so

that the trainner of this session can focus more on the slides.

 Remember that less [text] is more

This is generally true with any kind of presentation, but it is particularly relevant for virtual

meetings when it’s easier for the audience to tune out. Try to keep bullets and catchy, with
visual content and images whenever necessary. which can send out with more detailed info in

the Notes area.

 Take advantage of interactive virtual tools

Polls, quizzes, and white boarding are all great ways to engage audience and clear their

understanding more.

 Put in some face time

Depending on the size of the group, it may consider enabling web cam and even asking audience

or participant to do the same. It is another issue that not everyone loves to show their face on

camera but it will keep everyone engaged and accountable.

 Schedule breaks into the agenda

Long term visual trainning with out break will not bring fruitful result so there might be minutes

break for refreshing the participants. At the start of each break, be sure to mute microphone

and pause the recording and switch both back when resume.

AFTER the learning session

 Distribute follow-up materials

Email out the link to the class recording, the slide, chat transcript, and any other supplemental

materials.

 Mark attendance

Depending on the setup and credits associated with training, it may need to mark attendance

and update the class status.

 Make the recording available for non-attendees

Publishing a link to the recording online or distributing it via email or other source. If future
learners will need to retain a completion credit on their transcript, and for those who missed

this session.

 Send out a survey

It’s important to collect feedback from participants. Include questions about the length of the

meeting, the technology used and the topics addressed.
