Al Capone, or also known as Scarface, was one of the most famous American gangsters

(mafioso) who became famous as the leader of the Chicago Outfit during the Prohibition era.

Capone was born in New York City in 1899 to Italian immigrant parents. In his early twenties he
moved to Chicago and became a bodyguard and trusted factotum (an employee who does all
kinds of work) for Johnny Torrio a gangster. After that Capone started to integrate more and
more into the mafia word and in 1918, he married Mae Coughlin and they have one baby
called Albert Francis Capone.

He reigned as a crime boss seven-year until he went to prison at the age of 33. he spent there
11 years and then he was released from his sentence suffering from an advanced case of
syphilis. He died in Florida at the age of forty eight in 1947 surrounded by his family.
