UBICATION
► It is located in northern Eurasia, surrounded by 14 countries: Norway,
Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, Belarus, Ukraine,
Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea.
► Is the largest country in the world with an area of 17.102.260 Km2.
It has population of approximately 144.4 millions, the west and
south of Russia are the most urbanized and populated areas of the
country. The main cities of Russia are: Moscow, St. Petersburg, and
Nizhny Novgorod.
WEATHER
Cold seasons to the North and
hot to the South. The coldest
region is Siberia between -53°
y -62°. In winter most of the
territory is covered with
snow.
FLORA
Taiga with extensive forests
of pine, fir, larch, ash, aspen
and birch.
Tundra, in summer with
about 6°c, mosses, lichens,
and dwarf trees such as
birches.
FAUNA
The fauna is varied, bear,
lynx, wolf , the fox common
and the zibeline.
In the Tundra some rodents
like, the lemming, the polar
hare, wolverine, and some
birds and pets like reindeer.
