If you look around in your home, neighborhood, town there would be so many issues that cause
inconvenience, make life difficult, waste time or resources. Identify one such issue and examine
it closely. Use the following template to write your assignment. Please submit your final
assignment in PDF only.

The Problem: (State the problem and you identified it – was it through observation, empathy,
curiosity?)

Who is affected by the problem and how? (Draw an empathy map to elaborate how the person(s)
is affected by the problem. You could actually interview one or more people who are affected by
the problem.) Also write about the insights you got from the empathy map – any patterns? Any
gaps?

Use the reframe tool to get a new perspective on the problem. Does the reframe give you new
ideas that could help you solve the problem. Show your original and new frame and also mention
how it helps you approach the problem in a different way?
