SUBJECT : IMPLEMENTATION OF ALTERNATIVE WORK


ARRANGEMENTS FOR CENTRAL OFFICE UNDER THE
GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE

Subject to Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious


Diseases (IATF EID), Civil Service Commission (CSC), and applicable issuances of
other relevant agencies providing for the Guidelines for Alternative Work Arrangements
and Support Mechanisms for Workers in the Government during the period of State of
Public Health Emergency, the following shall be implemented in the Central Office
under the General Community Quarantine starting 19 August 2020 until modified or
lifted:

1. At least Fifty percent (50%) of the workforce of each Division/Unit shall be


required to work on site, Mondays to Fridays, during the 1st week and the
remaining 50% under Work-from-Home arrangement, and alternately, until
modified by the Commission in accordance with the existing rules as may be
issued by the IATF or pertinent government authorities.

2. A combination of Three-day Workweek and Two-day Work-from-Home


arrangement for the 1st and succeeding weeks shall be observed by the
Directors/Chiefs/OICs and their assigned secretary or administrative assistant.
They may likewise report or work on site for the 1st week and on the 2nd week
under Work-from-Home arrangement, and alternately as may be deemed
necessary to ensure the continuous delivery of the Office or Division’s services.

3. The Directors/Chiefs/OICs shall remain on-standby and on-call and make


themselves available during the work hours that they are at home. They shall be
required to report physically even while under work-from-home when necessary.
They shall ensure the proper and timely execution of activities and submission of
deliverables, failure of which shall cause the reassessment of the AWA for the
particular Division/Unit concerned.

4. All other guidelines provided in Memorandum Order No. 35 dated 15 June 2020
shall remain in effect.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
