Dear Families:
Welcome to the start of the 2020-2021 school year! I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe summer break. We are
pleased to welcome returning and new families to Fork Lane this school year. For both in-person and remote learners,
the first day of school will be on Monday, September 14, 2020.
Parent Information Meetings: Your children’s safety and well-being is our number one priority and many new
procedures and protocols have been put into place. In an effort to ensure a smooth transition back to school, we will be
holding the following virtual information sessions. Below you will find the necessary information to attend the

Device Distribution: The District will be providing technology devices for all students. K-2 students will be
receiving iPads. Students in grade 3-5 will be receiving Chromebooks. Students attending school in person will receive
a device when they come to school.
For Remote Learners Only: The schedule to pick up devices and other necessary supplies will occur on Thursday,
September 10, 2020, in the front of the building. This will be a drive-up process in which you are asked to please
drive up the entranceway, wear a mask and remain in your car. Our staff will be distributing the devices/supplies.

Class Placement: Class Placement letters will be mailed home this week. I look forward to seeing you at our virtual
meetings and working in partnership with you this year.
