What would be the

process you follow to buy that mobile phone? Hint: Use Buyer Decision process.

Upon the accidental damage of my current phone , I decided that it is time for a replacement
upgrade. With this in mind , I set out to formulate a decision based on the following steps:

Problem Recognition
Having a damaged phone with no workable repair available , I was bound to find an
alternative as the phone had completely stopped functioning due to the magnitude of
damage , having the need of a phone for work and general communication whilst the device
currently in hand not being able to provide me the solution , I had a problem that I recognized
needs to be dealt.

Information search:
With primary data , such as my budget , operating system preference and the time window
that was meant to be met , I had set out to gather information regarding the best choices
available to me. I visited the market and scoured for about an hour to gather all the popular
and latest options available in my budget and preference.

Evaluation of Alternative:
Upon a closer search I found out that I had 5 main options at my disposal. The iPhone 8
Plus , The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 , Vivo V7 Pro , Huawei Mate 10 Lite and One Plus 7T.
These phone choices fit perfectly in my budget and were the phones that I was very much
comfortable with as my daily drivers due to my preference for their operating system and
graphical user interfaces as well as their special features.
Upon evaluation I found one big differentiation between these choices , and that was the
longevity of the devices , upon inspection and evaluation it was note that the One plus 7T and
iPhone 8 Plus outlasted the rest in terms of software support , company coverage and overall
usable life of the phones. Hence the choice now was to choose between these alternatives.
Purchase Decision :
Upon close evaluation the choices were to be made in a justified and logical manner. Hence I
decided to compare the best options ( iPhone 8 Plus and The One Plus 7T ) by doing a battery
comparison , performance , camera and durability test. These all proved to be logically
pointing towards the iPhone 8 Plus as the best product choice for my budget , as it gave the
best features in my price bracket whilst providing the longest value for every cent against my
purchase , hence the decision was made to purchase the iPhone 8 Plus.

Post Purchase Evaluation:

After spending a full year with the purchase decision of the iPhone 8 Plus , I evaluated the
estimations I had in mind regarding the durability , software updates , features and longevity
of the battery life and I was more than satisfied with my purchase , hence creation of
satisfaction resulted in a successful decision made.
