4- Activity Duration :
A- Activity Duration shall be less than 25 days for the construction activities.
5- Resources
B- Baseline Construction Activities should be loaded with the major Equipment and
Materials as per BOQ i.e. (Excavation – Backfilling - Concrete – Block work-
Plastering....etc.)
Note : RBS – Shall be prepared and agreed by Supervision Consultant & MPM before
assigning to the Detailed Activities in Program.
6- Cost Loading
Note : Total Cost of the Project Shall Match with Contract Amount
CBS- Cost Breakdown Structure – to be agreed by Supervision Consultant before assigning.

Engineering logic, Work Flow Logic & Logic between Contractor & Sub Contractor Packages
shall be defined.
8- Calendar
Calendars shall conform to the Contract with regards to Working hours and Qatari Holidays.
(Preferable 7 Days Calendar for Procurement and 6 Day With Holidays for all Construction
activities) In Primavera P6, all the assigned calendars shall be Project Calendars.
Note: All Calendars shall be created under PROJECT LEVEL. Global Calendars are
not acceptable due to several technical reasons.
Detailed Submittals & Approvals of required items are included and also the approval period
is as per the contract.
The logic & acceptability of Critical Path to Key Milestones and Critical Path to Project
Completion and shall include activities with TF less than 7 days.
11- Testing & Commissioning, Project Close Out activities, Training & Manuals
A- Open Ends: There shall not be any open end activities other than the Contract
Completion Milestone.
B- Activities without predecessor : There shall not be any activities without
predecessors other than the Contract Commencement Milestone.
C- Lag/Lead : Long Lag shall be avoided or Substantiated in Programme narrative.
D- Negative Lag : Shall not be used.
E- Scheduling Option : Shall be retained logic.
13-Progress Measurement
Engineering:
To be measured based Number of submittals ( Documents, Shop drawings etc..) and assign
quantity as 1 for each submittal and approval, to generate S-Curve and monitor each week /
month. ….Pls. refer the below table ….
Procurement:

any Long lead Material, in such case BOQ Cost to be split in 60:40 and assign the Cost using
Expense Category with Cost Account . Suggest to se Resource as Material and Quantity 1 for
each stage……to derive S-Curve for each stage of procurement….….Pls. refer the below table

Construction:
To be measured based on Cost as well as based on Man-hours and produce Several Progress S-
Curves for the close monitoring of the project by WBS Summary etc….Pls. refer the below table
….
