Task and Activities – Reflection Task and Activities (March 2- March 6, 2020)-Week 8
- We were tasked to handle the Coca Cola Bingo flyers and posters to be handed out and
posted within the Coca Cola company to inform the employees of the venue, date, time, and
card redemption Time. One of the challenges of information distribution in the workplace is
determining how to disseminate information in a way that will reach all employees. Using posters
and flyers as an advertising medium for the bingo event is a great way to disseminate information
across the different departments of the Coca-Cola company. Playing bingo is a good way to keep
the brain active and stimulated. In addition to mental stimulation, playing Bingo also has emotional
benefits, physical benefits, and helps to form and maintain important social connections among the
employees. Organized company events like this helps boost company morale and are actually a part
of a larger strategy to help engage employees. Company events can be that break that eliminates
stress and helps improve motivation. Talking and spending time together outside the office can be a
major boost in teamwork. The bonds employees make at company events transfer back to the office.

- We were tasked to contact different universities or barangays, using the company


landline, to inquire for upcoming job fairs. Job fairs are a common recruitment channel that
present several potential benefits to the companies that attend them. For instance, many colleges
and universities hold career fairs for their students. The events give employers the chance to recruit
employees who are educated in specific subject areas. Job fairs can increase the number of
resumes and applications companies receive from candidates who are actually qualified for the
positions they need to fill. A job fair allows companies to connect with a large pool of potential
employees without having to advertise which saves time and money. Another benefit of recruiting at
job fairs is that it allows recruiters to meet potential candidates in person from the very beginning,
which can cut down time wasted lining up interviews for unqualified candidates. When we contacted
the barangay halls in Consolation and Mandaue, we were directed to PESO (Public Employment
Service Office) which is a non-fee charging multi-employment service that serves as a referral and
information center for the various services and programs of DOLE and other government agencies
present in the area. One of the services of PESO is Jobs Fairs which are conducted periodically all
over the country to bring together in one venue for job seekers and employers for immediate matching.
We complied all the Job Fair information such as details on the Establishment/Place, Contact Person,
Contact Number, Venue Location, Event Date, Email, Host, Requirements so that is it easier for the HR to
choose and keep track on which job fair is the most convenient for Coca-Cola to join.

- We were tasked to gather different quotes we can use for Women’s month and place
them in Microsoft Excel. The importance for the company to celebrate Women’s month is to
help create a gender equal workplace with strong commitment and action supporting and
advancing women. Women’s month celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political
achievements of women. It is an opportunity for the company to highlight its commitment to
developing women professionally, while celebrating the contributions of women in each facet of
the company's business. Female employee who reads these quotes may feel inspired and
empowered
