Introduction to Verb Tenses
In this introduction to verb tenses packet you will find useful fun introduction
worksheets that all have a “Mystery Theme.” One packet per classroom. To
share please direct interested teachers to my store to download.

“Solve the Missing Link” -This worksheet introduces the difference between the
three tenses. The fill in the blank method works perfectly to help students
figure out the the different tenses in a logical way.

“Pet Detective: Miss Robie’s Mouse/ Ashley’s Dog/ Todd’s Monkey”- These
three worksheet activities let the students play detective. By using the clues and
evidence they must figure out what each suspect is doing each day using present
progressive tense verbs.

“Mail Mystery”- This worksheet introduces the three tenses past, present, and
future. Students must problem solve to find out what happened to Mrs. Grain’s
letter using the three tenses.
