The Yarn Spinners

A storyteller campaign. The party is a retired group of adventurers telling stories of their exploits in a
bar. The adventures will take place in chronological order, but not in succession. Characters might
jump ahead in levels between missions.

When the players agree that they feel ready to level up, they do. At the beginning of each session every
player gets 3 Storytelling Points (represented by poker chips). They can spend 1 point to reshape the
story to make it more interesting. (Instead of 6 normal goblins, it's now a dozen goblin minions and
their bugbear general. Failed a strength check to kick in a door? No, you smashed the door in so hard
it slammed into the guard who just happened to be on the other side and knocked him out.)

Players are encouraged to do things that are kind of unrealistic. (Cut the rope holding a chandelier in
place and ride it up while the chandelier crushes your enemies.) And if they make the story interesting
with their actions / descriptions / roleplay, then they will be rewarded with additional Storytelling
Points.
