The most terrible enemy of a person´s well intentions is
Procrastination. It is something that is defined as an act of putting off
things that should be done for a later moment. A lot of people don’t feel
like they are doing it intentionally; they really think that they tried to do
it, but they cannot. When in fact the effort wasn’t enough.
Procrastinators usually have good reasons for their excuses. Even though
when procrastination is extreme the problem is bigger because people
can get stressed and maybe desperate. According with Moore, R., Baker,
B., & Packer, A, one of the qualities that can generate both fear and
anxiety is being a perfectionist. Another reason that procrastinators use
is not being motivated in a specific situation.
When people don´t know how to do something, usually can cause
them to postpone it. Thus, people need to assume their personal
limitations and look for help. Another thing that people can do for when
they feel with anxiety, is trying to be concentrated on improving their
own past performance and think of specific ways to do so relieves
performance anxiety. The best way to calm your anxiety would be
digging in and prepare so well that you cannot possibly do poorly. There
are some situations where lack of motivation is an indicator that you
have taken a wrong run. When you really don´t want to do the things
you need to do, you maybe need to reevaluate your situation and
decisions. Ask yourself what was the reason that you choose study that
career o take that job? Because, setting out to accomplish something
difficult when your heart isn't in it is often the origin because of self-
destructive behavior.
