Greetings of Peace!

This year, the catholic church is celebrating the Year of

Ecumenism, Interreligious Dialouges, and Indigenous People. Saint
Louis de Montfort Academy,as a catholic school, we are envisioned
to integrate in our curriculum the teachings of the church. As
for now, our Grade 9 students and the Grade 11 students are
planning to have a Community Outreach Program focusing on the
Indigenous People who are one of the center of the year’s
celebration of the catholic church.
In our curriculum, the grade 9 students are currently taking
up the topic about “Volunteerism” in their Christian Living
subject. While the grade 11 students are having the topic about
“Society and culture” in their Understanding Culture, Society,
and Politics and also for their Personal Development subject
which aims to develop their personal growth through facilitating
a program. These group of students have decided to choose again
the Nagpana Aeta Community in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo as their
beneficiary since the school have already conducted a Community
Outreach Program to this place last year.
The main goal of this activity is to share love to our Aeta
brothers and sisters through this Outreach Program since it’s the
month of February, the month of love. Also, the school wants to
immerse the students in an actual scenario on how to handle a
program and how to interact with the indigenous people.
In connection with this, we would like to ask permission
from your good office to allow us again to conduct a Community
Outreach Program to the said Aeta Community. Your approval to
this matter will greatly help the school as well as our Aeta
brothers and sisters.
