1) SIMPLE PRESENT
Singular and plural verbs are used in simple present for:
 Present period actions (now actions)
Example: - I study English now.
- The class has a lesson at this time.
 Future plans
Example: - I travel to Mombasa next week.
- Ali goes to America in 2021.
 Permanent truths (of situations that don’t change)
Example: - The police enforce the law.
- A teacher passes on education.
 Repeated actions
Example: - You always bore me in speech. Please keep quiet
- Asha never attends the class.
 Observations (what one sees)
Example: - You seem sick.
- This place looks very dirty.
 Declarations
Example: - I hate this person.
- We like the way you teach us.
 Advice / instructions
Example: - To know English, first attend the classes and strive in your studies.
- To get well, first visit the doctor, then, take medication.
