3rd round:  3ch, 2tr in next st, *1tr in next st, 2tr in next st; rep from * to end, ss in top of
first 3ch – 36sts.
4th round: 3ch, 1tr in next st, 2tr in next st, *1tr in each of next 2 sts, 2tr in next st; rep
from * to end, ss in top of first 3ch – 48sts.
5th round: 3ch, 1tr in each of next 2 sts, 2tr in next st, *1tr in each of next 3 sts, 2tr in
next st; rep from * to end, ss in top of first 3ch – 60sts.
6th round: 3ch, 1tr in each of next 3 sts, 2tr in next st, *1tr in each of next 4 sts, 2tr in
next st; rep from * to end, ss in top of first 3ch – 72sts.
7th round: 3ch, 1tr in each of next 4 sts, 2tr in next st. *1tr in each of next 5 sts, 2tr in
next st; rep from * to end, ss in top of first 3ch – 84sts.
8th round: *4ch, miss 2 sts, dc in next st; rep from * to end, omit last dc, end with
a ss at base of first 4ch – 28 (4ch loops).
9th round: ss in next 2ch, *4ch, dc in next 4ch loop; rep from * to end, ending
ss in first ss from beg of round.
10th-14th round: rep 9th round.
15th round: ss in next 2ch, *6ch, dc in next 4ch loop; rep from * to end, ending
ss in first ss from beg of round.
16th round: ss in next 3ch, *6ch, dc in next 6ch loop; rep from * to end, ending
ss in first ss from beg of round.
17th-21st rounds: rep 16th round.
22nd round: ss in next 3ch, *4ch, dc in next 6ch loop; rep from * to end, ending
ss in first ss from beg of round.
23rd-27th round: rep 9th round.
28th round: *2ch, dc in next 4ch loop; rep from * to end, ss at base of first 2ch loop.

Top of bag

29th round: 1ch, *2dc in next 2ch loop, dc in next dc; rep from * to end, ss in first 1ch
to join – 82sts.

Create handles

30th round: 1ch, dc in next 8 sts, 24ch (handle can be lengthened by adding more
ch here, as desired), miss 23 sts, dc in 24th st and next 17 sts, 24ch (handle can be
lengthened by adding more ch here, as desired), miss 23 sts, dc in 24th st and
rem 10 sts, ss in first st to join.
31st round: 1ch, dc in same st and in each st to handle, dc in each ch across handle,
dc in each st to next handle, dc in each ch across handle, dc to end of round, ss in first
st to close.
32nd round: 1ch, dc in same st and in each st all around bag, ss in first st to close.
Fasten off, sew in all loose ends.
