Simple present:
I play soccer every weekend.

I do karate twice a week.


I go biking in the park on Sundays.

Present continuous
I´m playing soccer right now.

I´m doing karate.


I´m biking in the park now.

Notice:
Simple present: I go camping every summer.

Present continuous: I´m camping right now.


We eliminate the “go” with those verbs and then add the
present continuous: be + verb-ing
Present continuous questions

STRUCTURE:
WH +be + subject + verb—ing ?
Note: when there´s
What are you doing? no subject we use
I´m watching T.V. this structure:

Where are you going? Who´s + verb-ing?

I´m going home. Who´s playing?

Be + subject + verb-ing? The Yankees

Are you studying? Who´s talking?

Yes, I am. / No, I´m not. My mom

Key words for present continuous: right now, these days, this semester,
this month, this year,right now, now, at the moment…

Examples:

What are you doing for exercise these days?

I´m doing aerobics and I´m running.


Are you exercising a lot?

Yes, I am. I´m playing soccer and volleyball.


No, I´m not. I´m watching a lot of T.V. these days.
