My Reflection Paper on Self-Care and Stress Mana​gement

To begin with, I am very thankful to my teacher, Odessa N. Valenzona for giving


me this chance to make a research paper about self-care and stress management.
From the start I didn’t really know much about self-care and stress management. This
topic has been interactive and beneficial by all means. ​I Have learned that a common
idea we set to our minds in our daily life is the importance of self-care and why it has a
significant effect to us on a day to day basis and self-care has been defined as
providing adequate attention to one’s own physical and psychological wellness, but the
sad reality of self-care is that it is a constant struggle to maintain specially when on the
peaks of college and working.

I am surprise to learn that we can avoid being stress, we just need to manage
our stress and use some method and techniques designed to reduce stress and induce
an individual's reaction and mechanism in coping with stress. Using the methods and
technique is effective when it comes to stress situation because it can help to eliminate
stress. However, stress management happens when a person formulates a set of
strategies to cope with stress, to avoid or reduce the effect of stress and eliminate the
tension. One individual can help to form a set of methods and techniques to cope with
stress factors, or an organizational focus, in order to reduce the number and impacts of
stress. We all know that stress can be completely avoided. It is part of life and is even
beneficial in small doses to keep the body ready to respond to environmental demands.
To avoid the effects of stress several ways to combat it need to be known.
