I am Snehasish Chakraborty, a student of law in my Fifth semester at School of Law, KIIT

University, Bhubaneswar. It is an earnest request to kindly grant me a chance to intern at your
esteemed firm for a time period of ___ weeks between ____. 

I am currently in my third year in School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University and will
receive my degree in the year 2022. While I have a comprehensive background in civil law my
emphasis is on corporate affairs. I feel that your firm’s prominence in the same field and
having the privilege of serving as an intern with you will give me that further exposure I need
to advance in my career. A career in Law is no accident for me; it has been my passion since
my school days and working in your firm as an intern would push my career into a new
adventure.

In my First Year I have interned in Fox & Mondal, Kolkata Office wherein I have been
entrusted with different legal problems and researches. The main work was to understand the
Rent Act of the State also my work included service and education cases.
The internship provided me a valuable insight about the proceedings of the Calcutta High
Court.The work I undertook and the lessons I learnt while working there have intensified my
interest to explore the subject and the varied aspects of law while honing my drafting and
researching skills. I have also interned in Sinha & Co, Advocates, Kolkata wherein I have
learnt the ways of drafting writ petitions and various other legal documents which improved
my research skills. In my second year I also made out an opportunity to intern under the
additional Solicitor General of Kolkata where I was entrusted with extensive research on
Electricity Act and the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and have
also actively participated in assisting different Government of India Cases. I have also interned
under Advocate Debasish Chakrabarti, Calcutta High Court wherein I have dealt with different
matters related to banking, debts due to banks and financial institutions covered under the
SARFAESI Act, 2003 and also made extensive research on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code
and have actively participated in different insolvency matters, matters related to Non
performing Assets etc in DRT and NCLT, Calcutta Bench. i have also drafted various
insolvency applications along with RTI Applications , agreements related to sale and rent,
settlement application etc.

However, at the onset of my third-year, I wish to streamline my learning curve towards more
of banking and finance, insolvency matters, Foreign Investment, joint venture agreements and
interning at your prestigious firm will definitely help me learn and further improve my skills. I
am also interested in ADR and Arbitration. Given my diverse internship experience and
interest in corporate law, I am sure I will be able to contribute substantially towards your
practice.
