The Cross River Gorilla Solution
The Cross River Gorilla Solution
The Cross River Gorilla Solution
SOLUTION:
Among the main threats that the gorilla must face are the following:
If the habitat of the gorillas is destroyed they begin to die and become extinct.
When humans perform the indiscriminate hunting of gorillas they die and become extinct.
If people consume their meat there will be more demand for it and they will die faster.
If people continue to kill them for fun and as a trophy, the gorillas will become extinct.
As gorilla populations are fragmented when humans build villages and roads, gorillas
become vulnerable.
If roads are built near gorilla populations, gorillas could be run over.
Part C
Now, to complete the evidence you need to record a tape in which you describe the actions you
would execute to prevent the Cross River Gorilla’s extinction. Use your imagination to picture
several scenarios in which you could help
EXAMPLE
MY ACTIVITE:
If I had a lot of money, I would give thousands of pesos to the foundations that fight for the
protection of the gorillas.
If I were part of the government of Cameroon or Nigeria, I would create strong laws against
hunters.
If I were a United Nations prosecutor, I would put those who illegally cut down trees and
destroy their habitat in jail.
If I lived in Cameroon or Nigeria, I would create a protection refuge for the gorillas of the
River Cross.
