D.O. No. Jt.Secy(PMO)/21/2035 20th August, 2035

Respected Prof. Rihan Suri,

It is a great pleasure to inform you that I am now working as the joint secretary in the Prime Minister Office,
Government of India. The main purpose of writing this letter is to share my professional and personal
accomplishments with my most respectful and most admired person. Let me begin from the starting of my career
and it all began with fourth year of my graduation, i.e., the year 2020. Although it was not one of the best years for
the entire mankind but still it brought some achievements in my life. I had completed my design problem of urban
design and group housing projects. Along with this, I had started parallelly, to take up some market works for
gaining experience in the field of planning and architecture. After this, came the final and most crucial year of my
graduation. During this whole year, I had focussed mostly on my final thesis work of my B. Arch. project. As per
my memory is allowing, the title of that thesis was “The Airport of New Era” which was based on the vision of
airports that could, most probably, be the future of the then airports keeping in view the population increment and
faster connectivity and transportation. Luckily, that dream thesis came true by 2030 only. Although I had imagined
that this would come true one day, but not that much early. Science has progressed very much in the past few years.
Also, I had done one internship of 6 months. During that time, I was working on the projects of CP Kukreja Firm.
The experience I got while working there was amazing. It made me feel like I was a licensed architect working in a
big company and serving my clients and nation.
As the time passed, there came the time of bidding goodbye to Jamia Millia Islamia that marked the ending of my
graduation and onset of a new journey of my life. I became a licensed architect. After that I had joined Hafeez
Contractors, one of the reputed firms. There my knowledge got sharpened with lots of experiences because at that
time some very good commercial as well as residential projects were taken by that firm. But after one and a half
years of job, I felt like my growth was not as per my expectations. So, I quitted that job and started preparing for
GATE examination. I scored, as I can recall, very descent marks in that. Due to this, I got a golden opportunity of
doing masters in architecture from IIT Roorkee. So, I decided to go for higher studies and opted M. Arch. (Urban
Design) in IIT Roorkee. There I got lots of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, regarding urban design.
During first year of masters, I had done a project on “Redevelopment of Dharavi, Mumbai” and it was one of the
best projects of that year. In 2026, after doing my masters, I got placed in HUDA (Haryana Urban Development
Authority), one of the best city planners. There I learnt about deep and practical concepts of smart cities.
But soon after working with HUDA, I got attracted towards Civil Services. So, I had decided to prepare for it while
working in HUDA. But as it is well-known fact that CSE is not everyone’s cup of tea, so I failed in my first attempt.
But my determination did not weaken from that one failure. So, I quitted my job and gave one year of complete
dedication for CSE and finally I had nailed it in year 2028.
After that my career got full thrust and I had started moving forward with full pace. I received one-year training at
LBSNAA. There I had learnt many new things and how to deal with difficult and odd situations. After one year of
working at PMO, I was transferred to take District Charge as an S.D.M. of Bokaro District. At this year, I got lots of
ground level of experiences. After two years of working as S.D.M., I received call from Ministry of Personnel,
Public Grievances and Pension during last Lok Sabha Elections. After elections, I got appointed as the Joint
Secretary at the ministry and after working for two more years here, I have now lots of opportunity to serve my
country and I am totally happy with it.
