Walking the Tightrope

My experiences in life made me of who I am today. I don’t regret every single thing I did
in the past. I didn’t questioned myself on “why I did that kind of thing?” Or telling myself “I
hope I can change what I’ve done before”. Experiences teaches me to have confidence in
conquering this world full of darkness and lies and to treasure everything that I have now.
Everything that happened in the past help me to become a better version of myself. If that things
doesn’t happen, I don’t know if I will become like this girl now. A girl who is god- centered,
hardworking and optimistic. A girl who loves her family so much and thankful to all the things
she have even in small things. And more importantly, a girl who learns how to forgive.

I’m always thankful to have friends who are always there to cheer me up saying, “Zam!
Kaya mo yan!” Even in that simple phrase, I regain my confidence and have the courage to not
give up on life. I treasure my friends so much not only because of happiness they brought in me
but because they are my motivator when I’m down. They serve as a candle when my life turns
into darkness, they gave me hope and gave me light. I could say that they are not my friends but
they are my family. If not with the support I receive from them, I will not be successful to
achieve every awards that I get. Those achievements is really the fruit of my hard work and
sleepless nights that I will always be thankful of.

“Hand in my hand, and we promised to never let go. We’re walking the tightrope.”-
Tightrope, The Greatest Showman. Life will never be easy but one thing I’m sure about is that
I’m not alone in this journey of mine. I’m not the only one walking in this tightrope hoping to
reach the end of it cause I know I’m with my family and my friends that will never let go of my
hand and together, we will reach the end of time.
