Subject of today’s session-MAV link, First person view,4G network Andruav connection
and flight simulation
We learnt the following concepts-
1. MAV link-The Micro Air vehicle link is a way to communicate with small
drones/UAV. This is between the Ground control station and the drone.
2. First person view-Here there is a transmitter on the drone that transits the image to
the receiver which is connected to a system generally a T.V to watch the image from
the transmitter.
3. Andruav 4G network-It’s android based system that allows both drone to drone and
drone to ground control station communication. It provides longer distant
communication than the other means. By this App you could also control the drone,be
it a rover,multirotor,etc.
The Practical part of today’s session
 Flight stimulation-We used a flight stimulator software with a RC transmitter
which allowed us to know the basic knowledge of controlling a drone on field.
This method helped us to correct any mistakes we would have made in the
field otherwise. There were variety of drones which we could fly on this
stimulator.
 Trouble shooting-We replaced the malfunctioning ESC with the working one
and also did soldering on the circuit board which was not done properly
beforehand.
 Modes of drones-We learnt that drones have different modes like toy mode,
stable mode, Acro, etc which can be used by software such as mission planner.
We also did learn about configuration of Ardupilot which can be used in a
plane, rover, multirotor and helicopter.

Conclusion
Todays session was about both theory and practical knowledge. We learnt
to fly a drone on a stimulator. There are different ways to operate the
drone from ground such as 4g network like Andruav, Mav link, etc.
There are ways in which the drone can transmit the images of the camera
attached on it to a receiver on ground which can be connected to a system.
Also we would control the drone from our phone by using an app like
Andruav.
