Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a useful utility that provides remote graphics
capability. For example, you can use VNC to display a graphics session from your server
(Unix/Linux/Windows) on your PC. VNC is free, and is available on the Linux Toolbox
for AIX CD.
The Linux Toolbox version of "vncserver" may refuse to start. If you see the following
error in the "vnc" log ($HOME/.vnc/*.log), see the workaround below.
The problem can also be circumvented using a font server. See " Setup and Use of a

Update April 12, 2006 Here's how to change from the default window manager twm to
CDE.
To create dtsession on VNC all the following lines on the xstartup file located at the /.vnc
path and comment all other lines with # of the xstartup file
/usr/dt/bin/dtsession &
