Dear Host Family,

Thanks to you for taking your time to read my letter. My name is Mónica Alejandra Colorado Usma, I
am 20 years old, I am from Colombia, I live in Zipaquirá, a Little town near Bogotá. I live with my
parents, my four siblings and scooby my pet. I am studying psychology, I am in coursing fourth
semester, I love it because I like to help people.

I hope that you can give me the opportunity to have this marvelous experience; I feel exited to work
with you, because I decided to work as an Au-Pair.

Firstable, l think that work with kids in a different place as my country, is a good way to learn about a
diffetent culture, another language, and have a great experience; I really enjoy the Children, Travel the
world, the extreme games, sharing with my and learning new things every day.

I think that be part of the childhood and care of a kid is very important, understand them, that the
kids learn new things thanks to me and help them in the different situations that they will need. It
will help me to learn every day new things.

I have gotten experience with kids,l took care of two beautiful kids of 5 and 10 years old during 4 years
and a Little baby of 1 year old, during 11 months.

My duties were to picked them up from the schoool bus, prepared a snack, took a look ay the park,
complete homeworks activities spend change diapers, prepare baby bottles , showr and dress the kids
and baby. Play with them, feed their meals, care of them and taught new things for them.

My objetive is to feel as the big sister, help with everything that the kids will need and have a good
relation with the parents. It will be interesting to be part of a family; it is something new for me and I
like the idea to share and learn about your culture.

I think that I will match very good in your country and in your home, l feel glad to improve better my
English, I am very interesting on that.

I will do my best to have a wouderful experience for your family and for me, l will love to bde part of
your family, l am responsable, I love the idea to grow as a person with this experience.

Querida familia de acogida,

Mi nombre es Mónica Alejandra Colorado Usma, tengo 21 años, soy de Colombia, vivo en
Zipaquirá, un pequeño pueblo cerca de Bogotá.

Vivo con mis padres, Edilma Usma y Diogenes Colorado mis cuatro hermanos
Wilian, Albeiro, Hector y Yojana y mi mascota Scooby.

Estoy estudiando psicología, estoy cursando el cuarto semestre, amo mi carrera.

Estoy emocionado de trabajar con usted, porque decidí ser un Au Pair.

trabajar con niños en un lugar diferente a mi país es una buena manera de aprender sobre
una cultura diferente, otro idioma y tener una gran experiencia;

Disfruto de los niños, viajar por el mundo, los juegos extremos, leer, pintar y compartir con
mis seres queridos y aprender cosas nuevas todos los días.

ser parte de la infancia y cuidar a un niño es muy importante, y que los niños aprenden cosas
nuevas gracias a mí.

Tengo experiencia con niños, cuidé de dos hermosos niños de 5 y 10 años durante 4 años y
un bebé de 1 año durante 11 meses.
Mi tarea consistía en llevarlos y recogerlos de la escuela, preparar una merienda, ir al
parque, completar la tarea, cambiar pañales, preparar biberones, ducharnos y vestir a los
niños y al bebé. Juegar con ellos, los cuido y les enseño cosas nuevas.
Mi objetivo es sentirme como la hermana mayor, ayudar con todo lo que los niños necesitan y
tener una buena relación con los padres. Será interesante ser parte de una familia; Es algo
nuevo para mí y me gusta la idea de compartir y aprender sobre su cultura.
Encajare muy bien en su país y en casa, estoy feliz de mejorar mi inglés, estoy muy
interesado en eso.
Haré todo lo posible para tener una experiencia maravillosa para su familia y para mí, me
encantará ser parte de su familia, soy responsable, me encanta la idea de crecer como
persona con esta experiencia.
