1.0 INTRODUCTION

This supplement is not intended for CMP 200® and CMP 200® DR X-ray generators prior to serial
number CPD05500F09.

This supplement must be used in conjunction with the CMP 200® / CMP 200® DR service and
installation manual part number 901471.

The CMP 200® / CMP 200® DR service and installation manual part number 901471 covers the standard
CMP 200® / CMP 200® DR configurations and options. This supplement describes the manual changes
due to the chassis-mounted phase-shift capacitor that is no longer part of the H.V auxiliary board.

1.1 General

The Low Speed Starter (LSS) was integrated into the H.V auxiliary board. However, for this application,
the phase-shift capacitor for the LSS has been removed from the H.V auxiliary board and has been
mounted on the chassis (figure 2).

A revised H.V auxiliary board (figure 1), part numbers 739442-99 / 739445-99 and the chassis-mounted
phase-shift capacitor that is connected to E17 and E18 on the H.V auxiliary board via a cable makes the
LSS more configurable to be compatible with a larger number of X-ray tubes.

2.2 Chapter 2:
• Section 2.7.0:

It is very important to note the value of the phase-shift capacitor before continuing. Refer to section 2.3 in
this supplement for the X-ray tube stator compatibility. If the value of the phase-shift capacitor is not
compatible with the desired X-ray tube stator type, the phase-shift capacitor must be changed to match
the requirements of the desired X-ray tube stator type. Please contact CPI product support for assistance.

• Section 2:

Table 1 in this supplement provides a cross-reference between the H.V. auxiliary board part number
referenced in table 1 of supplement 746026 and the capacitor field kit part number.

The capacitor field kit part number determines the value of the phase-shift capacitor.

The capacitor field kit 903836-XX for the CMP 200® and CMP 200® DR X-ray generators includes the
specified chassis-mounted phase-shift capacitor (no longer part of the H.V auxiliary board) and its
mounting hardware. This allows the X-ray tube stator compatibility to be changed in the field.
