Draw a Line between Rahu and Ketu in Your Chart. Now observe the following:-
1) If Mars is on one side and Venus on the other side of this Nodal Axis, the
natives MARRIED Life would
not be smooth and harmonious. If they are on same side, then harmonious.
2) If Saturn and Jupiter are on opposite sides of this Rahu Ketu axis, then native
is employed far away
from his native place and has to struggle for positional status in Life.
3) If SaturnMars conjunction on one side and Venus Jupiter conjunction on the other
side, then native

same arc, be ready to
face setbacks in professional field and earnings therefrom, and troubles in

Significance of Gulika

Gulika holds a position of prime importance in the evaluation of a natal chart.
Also called as Maandi, it,
like Rahu and Ketu, has no physical existence. But it always makes a difference in
the natal chart output.
Gulika is generally considered the most malefic entity in a chart. According to the
set standards of
assessment of maleficence, it surpasses all natural malefics. Gulika enjoys a
special status almost like an
independent planet, and in astrological classics it is considered as a minor planet
or subplanet.
In the traditional astrological practice, the Gulika-Kundali (a horoscopic chart,
with houses reckoned
from the position of Gulika) used to be an essential component of the Janma-patri
(the scroll carrying
the horoscopic details of a native, according to the traditional system of making
horoscopes in India).
Gulika and Maandi
In Vedic astrology, Gulika and Maandi are considered synonymous although some
people try to
differentiate between them. Gulika denotes a certain segment of time controlled by
Saturn. The word
�Maandi� is derived from Manda or sluggish, another name of Saturn. According to
the Brihat Parashara
Hora Shastra : �Of the same (i.e., Gulika), another name is Maandi�.
Fixing the Gulika
The position of Gulika is different for daytime (from sunrise to sunset) and night
time (from sunset to
sunrise). The duration of the day or of the night (as the case may be) is divided
into eight parts. The
segment belonging to Saturn is known as Gulika. For daytime, the first segment (the
first one-eighth of
the night) belongs to the planetary lord of the weekday that falls fifth from the
weekday under
consideration. The subsequent segments belong similarly to other planets that rule
the weekdays in
natural order. The eighth part here too is without a lord. In each case the part
belonging to Saturn is
called as Gulika.
The Controversy
The segment of Saturn during the day or during the night would have some duration.
Some people think
that the ending moment of Saturn�s segment is the time to calculate the position of
Gulika. They
determine the ascendant for the ending moment of Saturn�s part; the cusp thus
obtained is considered
the �longitude� of Gulika. However, the above-mentioned concept results from an
erroneous
nderstanding of the shloka from the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, which is as
follows: �The cusp of the
sign rising at the beginning of the Gulika segment is considered as Gulika-from
this the chart must be
analysed�.
There is a popular, but vague, method of finding out the Gulika. According to this,
for a day of 30 Ghatis,
the rising time for Gulika during the day, for the seven days from Sunday to
Saturday, is at 26, 22, 18, 14,
10, 6 and 2 Ghatis from the time of sunrise. For night time, the order from Sunday
onwards is 10, 6, 2,
22, 18 and 14 ghatis from sunset. This method is not accurate. The PrashnaMarga, a
south India
treatise, also refers to the Gulika and Maandi being the same.
Results of Gulika
� Gulika in the first house most certainly reduces the good results of the chart.
The impact is maximum
in malevolence when the cusp of the lagna and the Gulika are close in degrees. This
means that birth
taking place at the commencement of the Gulika-kaala suffers the maximum
affliction. In such a
situation, the Raja-yogas or other benefic yogas lose their potence. The Phala-
deepika states:
�Determine all adverse results from Gulika�s association�.
� When the Nakshatra of the lagna and Gulika are mutually trinal, the basic
benevolence of the lagna
Nakshatra lord (LNL) is lost. Nakshatras 1, 10 and 19 are mutually trinal.
� Gulika spoils the benefic significations of most of the houses by occupying them.
Thus, all troubles
ensue when Gulika occupies the lagna. In the second house, it curtails family
comforts and financial
savings. Poor social status results when Gulika occupies the fourth house. In the
fifth, it leads to troubles
from progeny. And so on.
� Of all the sub-planets, Gulika and Yamakantaka (the subplanet represented by
Jupiter�s segment)
surpass all others in maleficence and beneficance respectively.
� Only in houses 3, 6, 10 and 11 does Gulika generate benefical results. In the
tenth house, however, it
indicates delay in getting established in a career.
� The good results of Gulika (from its placement in the above houses) are lost when
the rashi and
navamsha lords of Gulika are neecha (debilitated) or combust.
Gulika with Natural Karakas
The association of Gulika with a natural Karaka (significator) always destroys the
good effects of that
Karaka. Classics hold the opinion that Gulika conjunct with the Sun creates lack of
comforts for father,
with the Moon it is bad for mother, and withMars it is adverse for brother. When
Gulika joins Mercury,
the native becomes mentally disturbed. With Jupiter, the native becomes a
hypocrite. Gulika with Venus
brings troubles from women and ruins marital life. Association with Saturn leads to
disease and skin
disorder, with Rahu it leads to proneness to infection, and with Ketu fear from
fire.
Gulika can alter the results of other planetary yogas in the chart. All good yogas
are lost when the birth
time and the Gulika-Kaala coincide together with another inauspicious factor like
Mahapaata, Gandanta,
Visha-Ghati, etc. (refer to our article: �Pitfalls in Astrology�, vide the Vedic
Astrology Vol. 5, No. 3, May-
June 2001 issue).
In Chart 1 (born on May 6, 1982; at 11:30 hours; in Nepal), the lagna is Karka
(Cancer), at 23�06'. Gulika
lagna is 2S11�54', associated with Rahu. The native is mentally retarded. A
Mahapaata birth is also
confirmed here.
A Special Rule
A point 180� from Gulika is also considered as acutely malefic in the natal chart.
This point must be
taken into consideration when the lethal potential of a planet is to be determined.
This is better known
as the Pramaana Gulika in Vedic astrology. The dispositor of Gulika or Pramaana
Gulika may prove fatal
during its dasha, etc., displacing the other maraka or killer planets.
Dashas and Transits
� The dasha periods of the dispositor of Gulika or its navamsha lord may prove
hazardous.
Chart 2 (born on October 17, 1955; at 17:30 hours; at Pune) belongs to an erstwhile
famous ?? actress,
Smita Patil. Her lagna isMeena (Pisces) while Gulika occupies Makara (Capricorn) in
the eleventh house.
She died of meningitis in the Saturn-Mars period. Saturn is the rashi lord of
Gulika while Mars is its
navamsha lord.
� Gulika in houses 1, 5 or 9 authorises the lagna lord to disburse the maraka
effect during its dasha.
� Trouble results during the dasha of a planet that happens to be an associate of
Gulika in the rashi
chart.
� Severe troubles are also likely during the dasha of any planet associating with
Gulika in the navamsha
or the dwadashamsha charts.
� Specially adverse results ensue during the dasha period, of Jupiter or Saturn
when they associate with
Gulika in the navamsha, or the dasha of the Sun when it associates with Gulika in
the dwadashamsha, or
that of the Moon associating with Gulika in the Trimamsha chart.
� The Pramaana Gulika deserves the same treatment as Gulika (vide supra).
� The transit of Saturn and Jupiter over the navamsha sign lord of Gulika, that of
the Sun over the
Dwadashamsha sign lord of Gulika, and that of the Moon over the Trimshamsha sign
lord of Gulika, put
the native in trouble. This is according to the Prashna Marga.
� All trikona (1, 5, 9) rashis should be considered in application of transits.
Gulika and Accidents
� Gulika is extremely important as an active killer in Vedic astrology. It is used
in the judgement of
longevity, along with dasha and transit.
� The lagna, the Moon and Gulika falling in Dwiswabha (dual) or Sthira (fixed)
signs prompt multiple
ailments and fatality. In Chara (movable) signs, it leads to good health and long
life.
� The lagna, the Moon and Gulika falling in mutual trikonas in the navamsha chart,
particularly in rashis
4, 8 and 12 are fatal. Such a native is disease prone and accident prone. This is
according to the
following dictum of the Prashna Marga.
Gulika and Longevity
For the calculation of longevity, the lagna, the Moon the Sun and Gulika are all
important. A special rule
for assessment of longevity involves using the cusp of the lagna and the longitudes
of the Sun, the Moon
and Gulika. This is as follows:
Lagna � 5 + Gulika = Prana Sphnt
Moon � 8 + Gulika = Deha Sphnt
Gulika � 7 + Sun = Mrityu Sphnt
When the sum of Prana and Deha is more then the Mrityu, the native is likely to
live long. However, if
Mirtyu is bigger than the Sun of Prana and Deha, a rudder end of life is indicated.
Chart 3 (born on November 19, 1917; at 23:11 hours IST; at Allahabad) belongs to
the Late Indian Prime
Minister Indira Gandhi. Here, the lagna is 3S27�22', the Sun is 7S04�7', the Moon
9S05�35' and Gulika
1S29�23'.
The sum of Prana and Deha is 1S2�16' while Mrityu is 2S15�04'. The native met a
tragic end.
� Although Gulika is favoured in the third house, it turns death-inflicting when
joined by or aspected by
Saturn.
� Gulika in the third with the Moon or receiving the full aspect of the Moon causes
tuberculosis or other
internal fatal disease.
Daily Results of Gulika
� Add the cusp of the lagna to the �longitude� of Gulika. The month when the Sun
transits the resultant
sign leads to troubles and miseries.
� The most hazardous day is when the Moon transits the sign obtained from adding
the longitude of the
Moon to that of Gulika.
� Add the lagna, the Moon and Gulika. The resultant �rashi� is to be considered
fatal. The month, the day
and the lagna indicated by the sum obtained above must be avoided in all major
ventures.
In the example (chart 3) given above, Gulika is at 1S29�23'. This indicates Kanya
(Virgo) navamsha,
Mesha (Aries) Dwadashamsha and Vrishchika (Scorpio) Trimshamsha for Gulika. The
native was shot
dead on October 31, 1984 at around 10:00 hours IST, at Delhi (Chart 4). The
ascendant is Vrishchika,
with Saturn in Tula along with the Sun, Jupiter and Gulika are in Dhanu
(Sagittarius). The Moon is in
Makara (Capricorn) while the navamsha lagna is Meena (Pisces).
Adding the Moon and Gulika of the native of chart 3, we get Meena (Pisces). This is
in time with the
rising lagna of chart 4 as well as with its navamsha lagna. The natal Gulika was
inMesha (Aries)
Dwadashamsha (Chart 3). At the time of the fatal mishap, Jupiter and Gulika were in
times of Mesha
(see chart 4).
Gulika and Progeny
� Gulika in the fifth house, particularly in rashis 3, 6, 10 and 11, leads to lack
of children. In such a
situation, the native is likely to have some defect in his generative organs.
� Gulika may ensure successful conception when: (i) Gulika and the Moon are in the
same sign; (ii)
Gulika is with the fifth lord; (iii) Gulika is aspected by the fifth lord; (iv)
Gulika in the other sign of the
fifth lord; (v) Navamsha lords of Gulika and the Moon are related mutually.
� A successful conception results when Jupiter transits the times of Gulika rashi
or Gulika navamsha
rashi. When Gulika is in any of the first six rashis (Mesha to Kanya), consider the
transit of Jupiter from
the Gulika rashi.When it is in the last six signs (Tula toMeena), consider the
transit from Gulika
navamsha rashi.
Gulika in Special Lagnas
� Gulika in houses 1 or 7 in the Pada Lagna causes grey hair, ill health and
serious disease of the
stomach.
� When AK and Gulika occupy the Karkamsha lagna and both are aspected by the waxing
Moon, there
ensue losses from repeated theft.
� The native dies of poisoning if Gulika in Karkamsha lagna is not aspected by any
planet.
It may be noted that the same aspects, as applicable to the natal chart, are to be
applied to all the
special lagna charts like Karakamsha, Pada, Upa-pada, Navamsha, etc.
Raja-yoga from Gulika
The dispositor of Gulika, a its navamsha lord, placed in a kendra or trikona,
or in its own sign or in exaltation, mollifies the adverse effects of Gulika and
gives yoga effects, though
its lethal propensity (markatwa) would remain intact.
The Phaladeepika states: �Let the Gulika be in a kendra, a trikona, or be strong,
in its own house, or in
exaltation or in a friendly house. A potent Raja-yoga results from this
disposition.�
In chart 3 (vide supra), Gulika is in the eleventh house. Its sign lord Venus is
strong, in its own navamsha.
The Gulika navamsha rashi lord in time shows a good and strong Raja-yoga.
In the horoscope of Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu (Chart 5, born on April 27, 1951; at
6:30 hours IST; at
Hyderabad), the lagna is 0S22�16'. Gulika is 1S08�37'. Gulika rashi lord Venus and
navamsha lord Jupiter,
are in there own signs. Its Dwadashamsha lord Sun is exalted. A strong Raja-yoga is
formed and the
native becomes powerful during Jupiter dasha. During Jupiter-Venus, the Raja-yoga
results would be
enhanced.
Ms Jai Lalitha (Chart 6) was born on February 24, 1948; 14:34 hours IST; at
Chennai. Gulika is at 1S20�14'
in the twelfth house. However, its rashi lord Venus is exalted in the tenth house.
This exhibits a potential
Raja-yoga.
To Mitigate the Evil
The evil of Gulika must be neutralised by prescribed remedies. Parashara recommends
that one should
worship lord Shiva regularly in the evening, bow down to the Sun-god and lord
Vishnu in the morning,
and light a holy lamp of �ghee� before a Shiva temple. This would defy the evil
arising out of an adverse
disposition of Gulika.Bhrigu Nandi Nadi (BNN) - Prediction Technique
By Praying Lord Ucchista Ganapathy and Nadi Gurus in the form of Books, friends,
Social media etc. created the Framework for analyzing the Natal Chart based on BNN.
For Analyze the chart based on BNN we need only Birth Rasi Chart with planetary
degrees and Transit Chart from the place of judgement.
For Interpreting and timing of events superimposing the Transiting Planets over
Natal chart. Reading the Rasi Chart alone is not give the desired result. Always
read the Rasi chart with Transit chart for better accuracy in your prediction.
Before Enumerating the Principles, some of the basic stuff require to understand
the concepts very well.
1) 12 Rasi2) 9 Planetary Karakatwas (portfolio) 3) Planetary relationship friend
or foe based on the Karakatwas.
For better understanding here is an explanation: Assume Rasi like a Stage or bhava
whereas Planet is an Actor. Planet first absorb the energy from the Rasi and behave
it accordingly. The strength of the planet is depends upon which Rasi it is
occupied and also planets connected to it. Treat the planet like a living human
being.
Example: Saturn in Libra exalted, hence he is happily acting his role since he is
in his friendly sign Libra and the owner of Libra is Venus. Hence Saturn role is
earning money through his Hard work, Sincerity, Discipline and Work alcoholic.
Saturn- Profession, Venus �Money based on Karakatwas.
Here is the Sample list of Karakatwas for each planets. Please note that there is
no limit for Karakatwas and it�s an infinite, varying depends up on what matters we
are going to analyze.
Jupiter � Self for Male / children, Law, Spiritual connection, Desire, Agamya
Karma.
Venus � Self for Female,wife, Money, Property, Progeny. Harmony, Alternative
Medicine.
Mercury- Education, writer, message, Intelligence, Land, Installment, young, second
wife in case of male/ husband in case of female, Businessman. Mathematician.
Saturn � Livelihood, Service, Fate (Prapta Karma), hard work, elder brother or
elderly people in the home.
Mars�younger brother, Body, Land, Courage, Sharp weapons, Military troops, Gun,
Fire. Husband in case of Female, Blood (red cells), Blood relatives.
Sun- Father, Soul, Heart, Doctor, Son, Leadership, Administrative power,
Government, Medicine.
Moon- Mother, Yielder sister, water,Mind, Change, food Items, Travel, Elopement,

Rahu- Dark, Unconventional, Mouth (open), Time, illusion, shadow, Foreign, Secret,

Friendship / enmity
There is no actual enmities between the planets,based on the natural
Karakatwas(Living or Non-living matter) segregated by friend or enemy for
predictive purpose.
Sun /moon both are luminaries (Jyoti or light). Saturn, Rahu, Ketu are the shadow
or Dark planets, Hence for Sun/moon Saturn, Rahu and ketu are natural enemies.
Marsmeans Warrior, courage, valor, Bravery and Mercury is working from the
principle of knowledge/intellectual. Warrior never belief in talks and intelligence
, first he will hit then only talk , So Mars and Mercury both are natural enemies.
Mars is the fast, young and strong man whereas Saturn is the weak, physically
challenged, old, very slow, hence Saturn and mars bothare enemies.
Venus is the Materialistic planets whereas ketu is the moksakaraka and not attached
with Material world. Hence Venus and ketu are enemies.
Rahu is the time (kala) mars is getting older and lose his strength by time cycle,
Hence Mars and rahu are enemies.
Saturn is mainly for this Janma Karma (livelihood) whereas Ketu is moksakaraka and
fighting with the karma to detach the soul hence Saturn and ketu are enemies.
In General for Living matters Rahu is the biggest enemy, for non-living matters
biggest enemy is Ketu. Ketu means break, detachment.
Jupiter is the jeeva or soul, hence rahu is the biggest enemy for Jupiter.
It�s not always bad when inimical planets join together. From the above points we
can say generally Saturn and mars both are enemies. But it�s not an actual truth.
For living matter its seems to be very bad whereas Non-living matter its somehow
good combination.
Saturn? Profession or service, Mars ? Cruelty, Angry, Quarrelsome nature. So when
this combination strongly exist in any chart they will face lot of problems in
his/her professional life.
Saturn + Mars combination definitely will create Problem in his profession. But
this combination will give technical abilities to the person in his profession as
well as he/she owned ancestor properties.
Saturn? Fate, Mars? Land
Here is anotherCombination:
Saturn + Venus (In Male chart)
Saturn means delay, Venus means wife. Hence he will marry a girl in later part of
his life and also earn more money (prosperity) after his marriage. Venus also
represent money. Either his wife is a working women or getting lot of wealth
through her family. This is a good combination for Living as well as non-Living
matter but it will not change the natural planetary tendencies.
They key in BNN is planetary combination. The Sambandha between the two or more
planets by the following methods.
Trine Combination (1, 5, 9)
The Rasi are in the same direction will form the combination
For example Aries, Leo and Sagittarius is the same direction ie .East direction.
Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn are in South direction.
Hence any planets situated in the same directions are considered as togetherand
formed a combination.
The 2 or 12 combination:
In earlier I said treating planets like a human being. In the same way while
planets moving in the Rasi path it may crossed (Past) some planet or it may going
to touch some planets (Future). 12 means past and 2 means future. Hence 2nd house
is important from the subjective planets. Please note if planets surrounded by
friendly planets it is also helpful for the subjective planets for giving
Karakatwas result fully.
7th house is 180 degree from the considered planets which is opposite effect. Hence
it�s also considered.
Finally 3 & 11 from the subjective planet which is also in an opposite direction.
For example Aries is the East direction. Gemini is the third sign which is opposite
direction west.
Among this combination life turning events will happen based on the Planetary
strength like Exaltation, Debilitation, Moola Trikona, Exchange of the planets,
Vakri (Retro gradation), combustion. Transit will trigger the events to happening
in his life time at least once.
Overall combination formed by 1,5,9 ----2 ,12-----3,7,11. Then what about

4,6,8,10. In Nadi these are all considered as Hidden houses. If from the subjective
planets any planets situated in 4,6,8,10 means the jathaga will face problem from
theplanet karakas or will not get the karakas based on the other planetary
combinations involved in it.
For example in Male chart If Jupiter has Venus in 4th house means he will have a
problem in his marital matters and the intensity depends on other planetary
position from Jupiter.
Exchange will happen once Saturn or Jupiter transiting on the planets which
involved in the exchanged planets Since Saturn represent fate and Jupiter represent
the Agamya karma or desire.
Given importance to Retro Planets also. Retro planets always looks behind the 12th
sign. Hence it will create two types of combination. One is from the actual
position where he posited in Rasi chart and the other one is from his 12th sign
position. Rahu/Kethu always natural retrograde planets in Zodiac. Hence Rahu/Kethu
both are aspects 1,5,9 and 12th house from their position.
Summarizing the above notes below are the Six rules for predicting in Nadi method
for any life events.
1) Gender or Relative Karakatwas of the planet.
Example: If you are going to analyze the chart for the particular event first you
have to choose the correct planet based on gender Male or Female or relative
planets. If male choose Jupiter, female means Venus. In case the Qurent wants to
know about his father means select Sun as a chief significator.
2) Check the Life changing planetary combination exist in the chart and give
much importance to it.
Certain Planetary combination will change the entire life of the jathaga in good or
bad manner based on the combination.
Example: Saturn+Mars, If transit agree he will face lot of anxiety, loss of

Combinations w.r.t Married life as per nadi Jyotish
Mars is the karak for husband in females chart and Venus is the karak for wife in
males chart.
The following combination should be first seen in rashi chart and then in D-9
chart.
1) When Venus, Mars and ketu are in trine to each other or very close degree wise,
it may result into separation, If Jupiter is also in trine or in 2nd house from
Venus there may be a compromise.
2) When Venus, Mars and Rahu are in trine to each other or very close degree wise,
it may result into separation
3) When Mercury, Mars and ketu are in trine to each other or very close degree
wise, it may again result into separation.
4) When Venus is in trine to any two slow moving planets like Rahu, Saturn or ketu
or very close degree wise, it will result in separation.
5) When Ketu and mercury( in trine to each other, or very close degree wise) it
indicates Love marriage for the native, If in this set up Venus or jupiter also
gets involved(through exchange or strong aspect or degree wise or in trine etc),
then it will end in love marriage. Further, if Mars gets involved((through exchange
or strong aspect or degree wise or in trine etc) then there will be a failure in
love affair or love marriage. In case of Moon involvement((through exchange or
strong aspect or degree wise or in trine etc) then native will get defame in the
society.
6) When Venus and moon get involved (through exchange or strong aspect or degree
wise or in trine etc) In females chart, she will only be happy with her boy friend
and may be spoiled before marriage BUT if Jupiter is powerful in the chart, then
she will commit the adultery in her mind only.
7) When Venus, Mercury and moon are involved with each other (through exchange or
strong aspect or degree wise or in trine etc) then native can sleep with anybody if
given a chance (irrespective of whether the native is male or female) even Jupiter
aspect also cannot help here in this condition.
8) If Venus is hemmed between Saturn and mercury or between Mars and mercury, her
spouse will also have a boy friend.
9) If mars is hemmed between Venus and moon or between Venus and mercury her
husband will also have a girlfriend.
10) To see the stability of married life one should move from Venus to mars, if
there are many Malefics between the two the married life will not be stable.
11) When Rahu is in trine or very close degree wise to mars- Indicates Late
marriage for females
12) When Rahu is in Trine or very close degree wise to Venus-indicates late
marriage for Males.
13) When ketu is in trine or very close degree wise to Venus in male�s chart then
there may be misunderstanding between the couple but things will be fine if Jupiter
is in trine or in 2nd to Venus.
14) When Ketu is in trine to mars or very close degree wise in female�s chart then
there will be misunderstanding between the couple but again Jupiter�s involvement
will nullify the things.
Some additional concepts: As per nadi astrology Jupiter is the jeeva karak for
males and Venus is the Jeevakaraka for females also remember that Mercury is the
karaka for the girl friend or boy friend therefore whenever Jupiter comes in trine
from Mercury in males chart- It indicates that person can have a illicit
relationship. If this combination goes with Ketu and mercury in trine to each other
or Venus, Mars, Rahu in trine to each other or Venus mars ketu in trine to each
other or Mercury, Ketu, mars in trine to each other, this will surely indicate
illicit relationships. The same could be observed in females chart by looking at
the mutual trine of Jeevakaraka Venus (for females) with mercury, simultaneously
taking into consideration the above mentioned points.
If moon comes in trine to Rahu and any of the above mentioned 1 to 6 points are
applicable then the things may go worse w.r.t personal life this is because Rahu is
the karaka for all the secretive things and moon is the karaka for mind as a result
this kind of placement may facilitate Secretive love affair.
While considering the trine formations, do remember that if a planet is retrograde

then its trine placements should be considered from the sign in which it is placed
as well as from the its previous sign, like for example if mercury is retro and on
the upfront ketu is not in trine to mercury then do reanalyze the ketu mercury
trine placement by assuming the mercury in previous sign as that will also result
into love marriage.
The above mentioned points when found in lagan chart, they indicate that an event
may take place on the materialistic front or physical front but when they occur in
D-9 chart then that indicate the inner tendencies of the native towards the
relationships. In other words, if these mentioned points are not occurring in lagan
chart but are only present in D-9 chart, then that will indicate that though the
native have the tendencies of messing up his relationships but that mess will not
happen. From another angle, if the indications are present in both lagan and D-9
chart then the results mentioned are bound to happen, come what may!
Some additional concepts: As per Nadi Jyotish though everyone knows still. These
are the karaks (1) overall personality of the person consider
(i) Jupiter as Jeevakaraka for Males
(ii) Venus as Jeevakaraka for Females
(2) For Profession, elder brother consider Saturn
(3) For Younger brother (2nd) consider Mars
(4) For Younger brother (3rd) consider Mercury
(5) For mother, Elder sister, mother in law consider Moon
(6) For Younger sister (2nd) Venus
(7) For Younger sister (3rd) Mercury
(8) For Husband consider Mars
(9) For Father consider Sun
(10) For Paternal Grand Father consider Rahu
(11) For Maternal Grand Father consider Ketu
(12) For education, Maternal Uncle, girl friend boy friend, father in law consider
Budha
(13) For Wife, Finance, vehicles consider Venus
In nadi Jyotish, bhavas, signs, nakshatras, sub lords etc are given less importance
for instance to evaluate the strength of the planet, sign can be considered but
maximum importance is given to the placement of planets w.r.t each other�their
conjunctions, aspects and last but not the least�paraivartan Yogas, exchange of two
planets are considered very important in nadi Jyotish experts use the nadi
astrology principles in D-9 and d-60 charts apart from lagan chart.
If the 2 planets are in same sign then they will aspect each other with 100%
Drishti, From other trines (5,9) 75% aspect has to be taken, from 2nd house also
75% aspect has to be taken, from 3,7,11 houses w.r.t planet under consideration 50%
aspect has to be taken and from 12th house 25% aspect has to be taken 2nd house
from planet represent front direction, 12th house from planet represent rear
direction, 1,5,9- same direction, 3,7,11,opposite direction with an exception that
Rahu and ketu cannot aspect a planet from opposite direction.
Applicability of above mentioned principles. In the chart of tiger woods;
First let�s talk of the inherent nature of tiger woods towards the relationship�for
this one has to look at D-9 chart where Ketu, mars and Venus are in trine to each
other. In addition mercury in trine to Jupiter (jiva karaka) and Saturn (karma
karaka) simultaneously all the above mentioned 3 points explains his 120 affairs
which he admitted. Coming to the materialistic manifestation of these relationships
from lagan chart, Venus(spouse karaka) in conjunction with moon explains his
wavering mind towards relationship, paraivartan with mars(very important in nadi
Jyotish) explains his bad temperament towards relationship and this venus is also
in trine with Saturn this explains why his marriage ended in divorce after getting
exposed in front of the whole world. Jupiter in trine to Venus explains why he got
a devoted spouse
You can take the example of any number Hollywood actors who had bad relationship
experiences and who had more than 1 divorce.
For example, Jennifer aniston, 11 Feb 1969, 22:22, Los Angeles, California
She has;
1) Venus, Mars and Rahu in trikond to each other.
2) Venus Saturn and Rahu also in trikond to each other
3) Ketu and mercury in trine to each other.
4) Venus and moon in trine to each other.
5) Venus mars and Saturn in trine to each other.
5) In D-9 too, Venus ketu and mars in trine and ketu and mercury in trine to each
other.
See the fal or effect of each of these combinations which I have mentioned above.

By Praying Lord Ucchista Ganapathy and Nadi Gurus in the form of Books, friends,
Social media etc. created the Framework for analyzing the Natal Chart based on BNN.
For Analyze the chart based on BNN we need only Birth Rasi Chart with planetary
degrees and Transit Chart from the place of judgement.
For Interpreting and timing of events superimposing the Transiting Planets over
Natal chart. Reading the Rasi Chart alone is not give the desired result. Always
read the Rasi chart with Transit chart for better accuracy in your prediction.
Before Enumerating the Principles, some of the basic stuff require to understand
the concepts very well.
1) 12 Rasi2) 9 Planetary Karakatwas (portfolio) 3) Planetary relationship friend
or foe based on the Karakatwas.
For better understanding here is an explanation: Assume Rasi like a Stage or bhava
whereas Planet is an Actor. Planet first absorb the energy from the Rasi and behave
it accordingly. The strength of the planet is depends upon which Rasi it is
occupied and also planets connected to it. Treat the planet like a living human
being.
Example: Saturn in Libra exalted, hence he is happily acting his role since he is
in his friendly sign Libra and the owner of Libra is Venus. Hence Saturn role is
earning money through his Hard work, Sincerity, Discipline and Work alcoholic.

There is no actual enmities between the planets,based on the natural
Karakatwas(Living or Non-living matter) segregated by friend or enemy for

Sun /moon both are luminaries (Jyoti or light). Saturn, Rahu, Ketu are the shadow
or Dark planets, Hence for Sun/moon Saturn, Rahu and ketu are natural enemies.
Marsmeans Warrior, courage, valor, Bravery and Mercury is working from the
principle of knowledge/intellectual. Warrior never belief in talks and intelligence
, first he will hit then only talk , So Mars and Mercury both are natural enemies.
Mars is the fast, young and strong man whereas Saturn is the weak, physically
challenged, old, very slow, hence Saturn and mars bothare enemies.
Venus is the Materialistic planets whereas ketu is the moksakaraka and not attached
with Material world. Hence Venus and ketu are enemies.
Rahu is the time (kala) mars is getting older and lose his strength by time cycle,
Hence Mars and rahu are enemies.
Saturn is mainly for this Janma Karma (livelihood) whereas Ketu is moksakaraka and
fighting with the karma to detach the soul hence Saturn and ketu are enemies.
In General for Living matters Rahu is the biggest enemy, for non-living matters
biggest enemy is Ketu. Ketu means break, detachment.
Jupiter is the jeeva or soul, hence rahu is the biggest enemy for Jupiter.
It�s not always bad when inimical planets join together. From the above points we
can say generally Saturn and mars both are enemies. But it�s not an actual truth.
For living matter its seems to be very bad whereas Non-living matter its somehow
good combination.
Saturn? Profession or service, Mars ? Cruelty, Angry, Quarrelsome nature. So when
this combination strongly exist in any chart they will face lot of problems in
his/her professional life.
Saturn + Mars combination definitely will create Problem in his profession. But
this combination will give technical abilities to the person in his profession as
well as he/she owned ancestor properties.
Saturn? Fate, Mars? Land
Here is anotherCombination:
Saturn + Venus (In Male chart)
Saturn means delay, Venus means wife. Hence he will marry a girl in later part of
his life and also earn more money (prosperity) after his marriage. Venus also
represent money. Either his wife is a working women or getting lot of wealth
through her family. This is a good combination for Living as well as non-Living
matter but it will not change the natural planetary tendencies.
They key in BNN is planetary combination. The Sambandha between the two or more
planets by the following methods.
Trine Combination (1, 5, 9)
The Rasi are in the same direction will form the combination
For example Aries, Leo and Sagittarius is the same direction ie .East direction.
Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn are in South direction.
Hence any planets situated in the same directions are considered as togetherand
formed a combination.
The 2 or 12 combination:
In earlier I said treating planets like a human being. In the same way while
planets moving in the Rasi path it may crossed (Past) some planet or it may going
to touch some planets (Future). 12 means past and 2 means future. Hence 2nd house
is important from the subjective planets. Please note if planets surrounded by
friendly planets it is also helpful for the subjective planets for giving
Karakatwas result fully.
7th house is 180 degree from the considered planets which is opposite effect. Hence
it�s also considered.
Finally 3 & 11 from the subjective planet which is also in an opposite direction.
For example Aries is the East direction. Gemini is the third sign which is opposite
direction west.
Among this combination life turning events will happen based on the Planetary
strength like Exaltation, Debilitation, Moola Trikona, Exchange of the planets,
Vakri (Retro gradation), combustion. Transit will trigger the events to happening
in his life time at least once.
Overall combination formed by 1,5,9 ----2 ,12-----3,7,11. Then what about

4,6,8,10. In Nadi these are all considered as Hidden houses. If from the subjective
planets any planets situated in 4,6,8,10 means the jathaga will face problem from
theplanet karakas or will not get the karakas based on the other planetary
combinations involved in it.
For example in Male chart If Jupiter has Venus in 4th house means he will have a
problem in his marital matters and the intensity depends on other planetary
position from Jupiter.
Exchange will happen once Saturn or Jupiter transiting on the planets which
involved in the exchanged planets Since Saturn represent fate and Jupiter represent
the Agamya karma or desire.
Given importance to Retro Planets also. Retro planets always looks behind the 12th
sign. Hence it will create two types of combination. One is from the actual
position. Rahu/Kethu always natural retrograde planets in Zodiac. Hence Rahu/Kethu
both are aspects 1,5,9 and 12th house from their position.
Summarizing the above notes below are the Six rules for predicting in Nadi method
for any life events.
1) Gender or Relative Karakatwas of the planet.
Example: If you are going to analyze the chart for the particular event first you
have to choose the correct planet based on gender Male or Female or relative
planets. If male choose Jupiter, female means Venus. In case the Qurent wants to
know about his father means select Sun as a chief significator.
2) Check the Life changing planetary combination exist in the chart and give
much importance to it.
Certain Planetary combination will change the entire life of the jathaga in good or
bad manner based on the combination.
Example: Saturn+Mars, If transit agree he will face lot of anxiety, loss of

position, suspension etc.
Saturn + Kethu? Break in service, termination from service etc., depression.
Saturn + Jupiter ? Breakthrough in profession. Both are best friends. Got the job,
improvement in Status etc. Friendly planetary combination always good for both
living as well as non-living matters.
3) Check the exchange of planets if any triggered by Transit Saturn or Jupiter
Example: if Saturn and Mercury are involved in exchange means at that time of
Transit Jupiter or Saturn entering into the sign either Natal Saturn or Mercury,
then the exchange effect will surely happen. After exchange if Saturn join Jupiter
means he will get the respectable position in his profession. If mercury join Kethu
means he will also face the litigation, dispute in his landed properties.
4) Given importance to Retro Planets also. Retro planets always looks behind the
12th sign. Hence it will create two types of combination. One is from the actual
position.
5) Watch the Transiting Planets involvement. If transiting planet entering over
the Natal planet means at the first sight give much importance to this one and hit
the bull�s eye.
Example:Imagine Jupiter + Venus combination in Male Natal chart trine from each
other, say Jupiter in Sagittarius and Venus is trine to Jupiter i.e. occupied in
Aries. When Jupiter entering into Aries means both will triggered by the
Karakatwas. If native is not married then chances of marriage is high, if he is
already married then chances of marriage for his younger sister (Venus).
6) Timing of events and yearly Planets:

Fix what will happen in a particular year based on the yearly transiting planets
Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Kethu. They will take minimum one year and maximum 2 �
years for transiting from one sign to the next sign.
Generally Saturn is the fate and karma planet. The planets are involved in Natal
Saturn in the combination surely will happen andKarakatwasfortified related to the
planets without much effort.
Jupiter represent the desire, Agamya karma. Good for auspicious events like
