All glories, all glories to the beautiful arati ceremony of Lord Caitanya.
This Gaura-arati is taking place in a grove on the banks of the Jahnavi
and is attracting the minds of all living entities in the universe.

On Lord Caitanya's right side is Lord Nityananda, and on His left side
is Shri Gadadhara. Nearby stand Sri Advaita, and Shrivasa Thakura is Srila Prabhupada Pranati
holding an umbrella over Lord Caitanya's head.

Lord Caitanya has sat down on a jeweled throne, and the demigods, srimate bhaktivedanta-svamin iti namine
headed by Lord Brahma, perform the arati ceremony.
namas te sarasvate deve gaura-vani-pracarine
Narahari Sarakara and other associates of Lord Caitanya fan Him with nirvisesa-sunyavadi-pascatya-desa-tarine
chamaras, and devotees headed by Sanjaya Pandita, Mukunda Datta,
and Vasu Ghosha sing sweet kirtana.
I offer my respectful obeisances unto His Divine Grace A.C.
Conchshells, bells, and karatalas resound, and the mridangas play
Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord
very sweetly. This kirtana is supremely sweet and relishable to hear.
Krishna on this earth, having taken shelter at His lotus feet.
The brilliance of Lord Caitanya's face conquers millions upon millions
of moons, and the garland of forest flowers around His neck shines. Our respectful obeisances unto you, O spiritual master,
servant of Sarasvati Gosvami. You are kindly preaching the
Lord Shiva, Sukadeva Gosvami, and Narada Muni are all there, and message of Lord Caitanyadeva and delivering the Western
their voices are choked with the ecstasy of transcendental love. Thus countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism.
Thakura Bhaktivinoda envisions the glory of Lord Sri Caitanya.
"My Lord, I know that young girls have natural affection
for young boys, and that young boys have natural
affection for young girls. I am praying at Your lotus feet
that my mind may become attracted unto You in the
same spontaneous way."

"My dear Lord, there is no sinful living entity who is


more of a sinner than myself. Nor is there a greater
offender than myself. I am so greatly sinful and offensive
that when I come to confess my sinful activities before
You, I am ashamed."

Prasada-sevaya

Sharira abidya-jal, jodendriya tahe kal,


jiva phele vishaya-sagore
ta'ra madhye jihwa ati, lobhamoy sudurmati,
ta'ke jeta kathina samsare

krishna baro doyamoy, koribare jihwa jay,


swa-prasad-anna dilo bhai
sei annamrita pao, radha-krishna-guna gao,
preme dako chaitanya-nitai

Dear Lord Krishna, this material body is a lump of


ignorance, and the senses are networks of paths leading
Pancha Tattva Maha-Mantra to death. Somehow or other i have fallen into this ocean
of material sense enjoyment and of all the senses tongue
(jaya) sri krishna-caitanya is the most voracious and difficult to control. It is very
prabhu nityananda difficult to conquer the tongue in this world.

srivasadi gaura-bhakta-vrinda nice prasadam just to control the tomgue.
So now we take and honor this prasadam to our full
satisfaction and glorify Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha and
I offer my obeisances unto Sri Caitanya Krishna and with love call upon the help of Lord Caitanya
Mahaprabhu, Lord Nityananda, Sri and Lord Nityananda.
Advaita, Gagadhara Pandit, Srivas Thakur, Dear Srila Prabhupada, you are so merciful to introduce
and all the devotees of Lord Caitanya. prasadam in the Western world, karma-free food for the
soul. Thank you Srila Prabhupada, our ever well-wisher.
To accept Initiation From the Spiritual Master and The Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra
Receive Instructions from Him
Sage Prabuddha continued to speak to the King as follows:”My
dear King, a disciple has to accept the spiritual master, but also
as the representative of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
the supersoul. In other words, the disciple should accept the
spiritual master as God because he is the external manifestation

of Krishna.” This is confirmed in every scripture, and a disciple
should accept the spiritual master as such. One should learn
Srimad-Bhagavatam seriously and with all respect and veneration

for the spiritual master. Hearing and speaking Srimad-
Bhagavatam is the religious process which elevates one to the

platform of serving and loving the Supreme Personality of
Godhead. The attitude of the disciple should always be to satisfy
the bona fide spiritual master. Then it will be very easy for him to
understand spiritual knowledge. This is confirmed in the Vedas,
and it will be further explained by Rupa Goswami that, for a
person who has unflinching faith in God and the spiritual master,
everything becomes revealed very easily.
To serve the spiritual master with faith and confidence
Regarding accepting initiation from a spiritual master, in the
eleventh Canto of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, 17th chapter, 22nd
verse it is stated by Lord Krishna: “My dear Uddhava, the spiritual
master must be accepted not only as my representative but as my
very self. He must never be considered on the same level with an
ordinary human being. One should never be envious of the
spiritual master as one might be envious of an ordinary man. The
spiritual master should always be seen as the representative of
the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and by serving the spiritual
master one is able to serve all the demigods.”
Sri-Sri Gurv-astaka Eighth Octet: If Only You would Come Again
by Srila Vishvanatha Chakravarti Thakura 1)Lord Caitanya's method of devotional service is not
performed in solitude. You preached this again and again to

4) If, at such a time as this, you were to personally return to

sringara-tan-mandira-marjanadau you always used to do

stirred up in blissful excitement.
(4) chatur-vidha-shri-bhagavat-prasada-
svadv-anna-triptan hari-bhakta-sanghan 6) Your profound shouting would cause the demons and
kritvaiva triptim bhajatah sadaiva atheists to flee, and your narrations of Lord Caitanya's
vande guroh sri-charanaravindam message would fill the hearts of the innocent souls.
7) Again the whole world would be excitedly bustling with

good tidings; but as it is, in your absence now there is nothing
madhurya-lila-guna-rupa-namnam
of value anywhere.
prati-kshanasvadana-lolupasya

suffering of the fallen conditioned souls. On this day of your

O Master! My heart is broken in your absence.

This disciple named Abhay has hereby revealed only a small

token of his wretched agony of separation.
(7) saksad-dharitvena samasta-shastrih
uktas tatha bhavyata eva sadbhih
kintu prabhor yah priya eva tasya

(8) yasya prasadad bhagavat-prasado


yasyaprasadan na gatih kuto 'pi
dhyayan stuvams tasya yasas tri-sandhya
vande guroh sri-charanaravin
8) O Srila Prabhupada! You personally suffer to see the
suffering of the fallen conditioned souls. On this day of your Sri Nrsinga Pranama

Seventh Octet: Distributing the Pure Devotional Process hiranyakashipor vakshah-
shila-tanka-nakhalaye
1) The most magnanimous incarnation of the Lord is Sri
Krsna Caitanya.Distributing the process of attaining love of ito nrisinghah parato nrisingho
God by chanting the holy names of Krishna, He thus blessed yato yato yami tato nrisinghah
the entire universe. bahir nrisingho hridaye nrisingho
2)O Master, you are the personification of the nrisingham adim saranam prapadye
transcendental message of Lord Caitanya. You are the
distributor of that message to every town and village.
3)You sent your devotees to preach in the faraway lands of Prayer to Lord Nrsinga
the Western countries, and you personally traveled all over
India, even to the South. tave kara-kamala-vare nakham
4) You preached the pure philosophy of Lord Gauranga in adbhuta-sringam
such a way that intelligent persons could understand. And dalita-hiranyakashipu-tanu-bhrigam
you showed such great concern, O Master, in convincing all keshava-dhrita-narahari-rupa jaya jagadisa hare
you adversaries!
5) Lord Gauranga used many tricks just to engage the
conditioned souls in devotional service, and you have also
understood how to use all those tricks perfectly well.
6) You understood time, place and circumstance, and
utilized everything as a strategy for preaching. Although
observing your activities with their very eyes. those who are
blind like owls and other creatures of the night could not
see your true purpose.
7)What will the Auls and the Sahajiyas and the other
nonsense groups ever understand? And what will the sheep-
like common people or dry logicians ever understand?
8) O Srila Prabhupada! You personally suffer to see the
suffering of the fallen conditioned souls. On this day of your
separation I am utterly despondent.
6) Then once again we can blissfully remember the holy name
Tulasi-arati Kirtana
of Krishna, and once again we will have firm faith in your
vrindayai tulasi-devyai "Vaikuntha messages."
priyayai kesavasya cha 7) Once again you will make us dance in the pure holy name of
Krishna. thus you will personally dispel all this confusion
vishnu-bhakti-prade devi caused by Maya.
satyavatyai namo namaha
8) O Srila Prabhupada! You personally suffer to see the
suffering of the fallen conditioned souls. On this day of your
separation I am utterly despondent.
Shri Tulasi-kirtana

namo namah tulasi krishna-preyasi namo namaha Sixth Octet: The Preaching Mission is Scattered
radha-krishna-seva pabo ei abhilashi 1) "Continue dancing, singing and performing sankirtana in the
association of devotees." ( C.C. Adi 7.92) These words spoken

the Vaisnavas have given up the work of preaching that was
entrusted unto them and have simply gone off to perform

7) O Master, please awaken some good intelligence in this
insignificant disciple of yours so that my firm faith in your
transcendental message may increase more and more.
4) The essential purport of your message obviously did not

5) To chant the holy name of the Lord is the explicit radha-ramana hari govinda jaya jaya

6) Your greatest acclaim is that you propagated the topmost

you becomes spiritually qualified.
7) If all those who attained this qualification were to go out
and make disciples then the miserable conditioned souls
would all be delivered from this world of birth and death.
8) O Srila Prabhupada! You personally suffer to see the
suffering of the fallen conditioned souls. On this day of your
separation I am utterly despondent.

Fifth Octet: The Disciple's Empowerment is Lost


1) The greatest mantra of all, consisting of thirty-two
letters, is: Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare People who

Second Octet: The Merciful Flood Has Been Stopped

4) This is the most significant message of Lord Caitanya that


you boldly preached everywhere. But now in your absence, O
Master, everything has fallen into darkness.
5) The overflowing ocean of your compassion has once again
been dammed up. This makes me feel as if a spear of great
misery has indeed pierced my heart.
6) Without Caitanya Mahaprabhu's message being spread
there is only confusion and upheaval in the movement. Seeing
this situation, all the Vaisnavas are also feeling overwhelmed
with the pangs of your separation.
7) The spirit souls have once again been captured by Maya
“I shall remain your personal guidance, physically present
and plunged into absolute darkness. Desperately searching
for relief, they are simply perishing in a fathomless ocean of or not physically, as I am getting personal guidance from

door to door, just to deliver the fallen souls.
